I came back here for my second time with a couple of my friends and we loved the food. Everything was great and totally recommended. The food is so fresh and tasty and tastes so delicious.
Try his mango sauce which is tasting so so good and also we liked the wasabi and the soy sauce that he is making it himself.
We also tried spring roll for the appetizer and it was very nice.

Fresh quality ingredients and expertly hand-cut Tuna and Salmon makes the difference in taste, and oh yes, the sushi here is to die for! Best I’ve had outside of Japan! Pro tip: order ahead as this is a small restaurant run by its owner, but definitely worth the wait if u don’t.

The freshest fish and produce. The sushi rice is amazing! Sauces are very complimentary to the ingredients used. You get a complimentary salad and soup with your order which is amazing as well. I believe the prices are more than fare. You definitely get what you pay for and more.

I tried the Tiger delight roll today and I can genuinely only describe it as the best sushi I’ve had in my life! The owner, Danny, is a great host and a very talented chef. While I waited he also made me a fresh salad, his ginger dressing is so refreshing and unique, I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be coming back!!!

I ordered two shrimp tempura rolls through doordash today. Neither sushi roll came with wasabi or ginger. Who wants to have sushi without ginger and wasabi? Everyone knows that sushi is just a vehicle for wasabi. There’s basically no point in even having sushi without it. When Im done with my sushi, I expect my nasal passages to clear and tears running down my face. And for almost $40, it was a disappointment and I feel I was cheated out of a tasty sensory experience.

Hands down the best sushi in Narragansett—no competition. After a beach day, I stumbled upon Umi Sushi and was immediately welcomed by the owner, Umi, whose kindness and hospitality stood out from the start. He offered thoughtful recommendations, made accommodations, and even surprised me with a free house salad, samples of the lobster crab Rangoon, a discounted roll, and a free water—all just to be kind.
The sushi itself? Impeccable. Fresh, beautifully presented, and the best quality I’ve had—and I eat sushi regularly ( sometimes twice a week ). Umi clearly has a passion for both food and service. This spot is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. Support this place—you won’t be disappointed.
