The service was quick and friendly. The colors and feel was light and welcoming. Ordered the Beef Sukiyaki Nabeyaki Udon Large. The flavor of the broth was average but nothing amazing. The beef was tender and well prepared. The broth was hot and keep everything warm throughout the meal.

There was no wait time before noon. Really enjoyed the udon noodles made in the house. The service was prompt. The food came quickly for our hot Nabeyaki and cold Niku Bubake udons. It was very filling for our regular size portions. Highly recommended.

Came here last minute before closing time to try this spot out as I was in town just for a few days. The Salmon Spinach Cream Sauce Udon was excellent — really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly as well. Would strongly recommend for all Udon enthusiasts if you’re in the Japantown area.

You should try Tonkotsu and Cream Sauce Udon here. Have to queue up, just sign in waitlist. Price is affordable. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Udon broth is good but a little salty for me.

This place is famous for its homemade udon noodle. However, the noodle it’s chewy as the homemade udon quality it should have. They also increased the price too. A noodle bowl can cost over $20 now including tax and tips. I don’t think it’s worth it to try. Portion is smaller than it used to be. Soup base taste fine. Kathy don pork breaded too thick. Feels like eating lots of flours and pork cutlet it’s think and hard to eat. Pork meat quality isn’t good. Niku Udon beef was precooked not fresh to cook with udon noodle. Beef it’s little be salty and it’s more for the donburi type preparation. Beef udon should prepare with fresh slices of beef meat and you can taste it’s quality and freshness but not with this place.

We arrived 15 minutes before the 2pm close and they were kind enough to let us in. We ordered the Tonkatsu Udon, medium spicy. It was very delicious. It came with a tempura shrimp, and underneath it were some slices of chasu pork. It also had some green onions, and spinach. The broth was very good with just the right amount of spicy-ness to the broth. The noodles were very tasty and I enjoyed their texture. If you haven’t had udon noodles before they’re a lot thicker than ramen noodles, but they’re really good. We had also ordered an appetizer of shrimp tempura, since we didn’t realize our udon already came with one. The shrimp tempura were great, good size of shrimp and tempura ratio. They weren’t overcooked, and had a nice dipping broth/sauce. Overall it was a very good meal, great experience and service. Will definitely come again!

I would have rated 5 stars, but there is unclear communication with the availability of their Signature Sea Urchin (Uni) Cream Sauce Udon. Restaurant opens at 11:00 and we were seated before 12. It was not a full house. Supposedly there’s only 20 orders made a day. The waitress did not tell us right away that it wasn’t available and when I tried to order it, she just said they don’t have it and will check with the kitchen…she did not say that they were just not offering it at all or whether it was sold out. It should be indicated on the menu or told right away to the customers that it is not available. Disappointed that I was not able to try it. Make sure you call for its availability if you’re specifically going here to eat that.
