Ubu Ramen is our go-to place for a quiet evening dinner. My boyfriend and I love ramen and this is hands down the best ramen we’ve had in whole of New Jersey! The broth is so flavourful and soulful! Ordered delivery and it arrived in nicely packed containers and a small container for wasabi and soy sauce mixing and dipping. Sushi tasted fresh and delicious. Salmon avocado roll has a good amount of salmon inside of each roll. Spicy crab roll is spicy but not too extremely spicy and tasted pretty good. It came with lots of soy sauce but not enough wasabi. It would’ve been perfect if more wasabi was there.

I ordered delivery from here because of the positive reviews I read on GoogleMaps, but was sadly disappointed. The chicken ramen is like instant noodles, with exactly 5 sad little pieces of chicken, and half an egg. That was all, no vegetables. We got two different rolls but they tasted exactly the same, mostly rice and a tiny bit of eel and shrimp. The 2 rolls came with a dime size dot of wasabi and ginger. I couldn’t be sadder. Not sure how others can say this is the best sushi or the best ramen they have had.

Ubu is the best sushi in Hoboken! The fish was outstanding quality and everything was prepared well. Service was great and didn’t break the wallet either. Highly recommend the spicy tuna dragon roll and salmon lover! This is our go-to spot for sushi.

Absolutely incredible! We got the seared salmon, edamame, gyoza, rainbow roll 1, spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls and jaw dropping. After eating we ordered the same thing to go! Amazing service, super polite and attentive. Will certainly return, highly recommend. Everything was delicious!

You go and have an okay meal. Then you get charged a price different from the menu you picked from. Essentially the owner charges you what he wants at the end your meal. He should not have a restaurant license.

It was our first time ordering at Ubu. Definitely the fish was super fresh but the overall taste experience was not our favorite. As for me, I ordered a sashimi combo, and the sashimi came totally soaked in a kind of sweet mayo sauce that I personally didn’t appreciate. I’m a purist when it comes to nigiri or sashimi : wasabi, soy sauce. Period. And usually sashimi is not served in mayo sweet sauce, so I was really surprised. But again. Everything was really fresh and it was something different than usual. So, it’s all good! Also, I support those business that are not raising like crazy their prices as basically every single business in Hoboken is doing. Here you can have a nice sushi dinner with a honest check. Maybe next time I will ask them not to put any sauce 🙂
