At ten tables sitting two each, Ubon Thai Kitchen at Torrance Crossroads offers quick and efficient polite service and a bevy of Thai dishes that best reflects this region. This time we had fish cakes for appetizers, I had duck curry which went well with black rice. Stepmom had crispy lemon chicken and Dad had Thai boat noodles which I had last time when I went with cousin, uncle, and mom. The only thing that could make the experience better is a bathroom for customers. As is, the flavor profile and execution of the dishes are as precise as we can imagine Thai home cooking comfort foods to taste. Thank you to the staff. I also had Taro Milk Tea this time which was soothing and very sweet but not cloyingly so. You can’t take fifty people here to dine together but you can order what you want for fifty for takeout or take home, hot to go. I pray the Thailand Cambodia war ends soon. To try Cambodian dishes, Little Cambodia Town is in Long Beach. I love both. If you want to try Thai food, Ubon Thai Kitchen is a solid place. Please try calling to see times open and to make reservations as their website requests. It’s worth it.

We had a great meal at Ubon for lunch. The food was very fresh and flavorful and they had some unique options on the menu. The server was a very nice gentleman who made good suggestions. The dining room is pretty compact and I imagine they get pretty busy as the food is excellent. The peanut sauce with the fresh rolls is very distinct and better than others I have tried while the crying tiger beef is extremely tender and comes with another excellent sauce. The Tom Yum broth was perfection and the sizzling seafood was very tender and tasty and not super spicy but a bit of a kick. Overall this is a great place to grab a meal while shopping or anytime. The location is the far corner of the shopping center back near the in and out burger and mini IHOP. This is some great tasting Thai food with big flavors.. the prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center which is all free of course. Overall this place was great and we will be back to try more of the menu at Ubon Thai Kitchen.

Oily, oily, oily Kee Mao Noodles and Oily, oily, oily Thai Fried Rice. Veggie Egg rolls were good with sweet dipping sauce. Thai salad was very good with dressing. Of course the Thai Iced Tea was delicious. When I come to a Thai Restaurant I expect the most flavorful food from Thailand but unfortunately there was no infused Thai seasoning in the food due massive amounts of oil, so bland. Nice people but food taste like Panda Express.

The food is excellent – loved the spice and flavor in the spicy Thai fried rice with black rice and Pad kee mao, as well as the taro boba tea. Ayla was amazing – we were a party of 6 and hadn’t realized that 18% tip was included, tipped again. Ayla pointed that out to us – an extra star for her honesty. We’ll back soon !

Delicious but DO NOT ORDER SPICY! I have Indian roots and generally have high spice tolerance. But I could not handle their ‘spicy’ yellow curry, with chili flakes sprinkled over it. Panang curry is already a little on hotter side and requesting it spicy made it much more harder to tolerate. Medium or mild is your safe bet.
Having said that, they are delicious and rich. Quick and great service. Parking is not an issue as it’s inside a complex and plenty of parking available. The restaurant is pretty small like 4-5 tables so May have a waiting time if you are going at a peak time. No public restrooms but The Home Depot is right by it

This is the best Thai restaurant in the South Bay. I’ve been living in Torrance for the last 20 years and can’t say I had anything better when it comes to Thai cuisine.
Their food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. Unless you can truly handle spiciness, I would be cautious when ordering spicy since they are truly Thai spicy; to a point that you’ll be willing to drink sriracha to kill the heat.
Fast and friendly service. Great good. Cute atmosphere for a casual meal. Highly recommend especially during Fall/ Winter season. Expect to pay around $25-35 per person when ordering appetizers and drinks.

Yummm!
My friend and I went here before a movie and were so pleasantly surprised.
Extremely friendly service, great portions, decent prices.
Tom Kha soup + shrimp: This soup is so creamy and delicious. Reminds me of one I had in Phuket. And they serve in a dish that keeps the soup hot. I will be going back for more it’s very comforting
Fresh rolls: Honestly they were just great portions inside the roll and very fresh ingredients
Egg rolls: my friend ordered these and she said they were fine but that’s typical with fried rolls
Fried rice + chicken: My friend also ordered this and absolutely loved this dish
Definitely a safe and tasty spot to go back to!

Stumbled upon this place while looking for lunch. Have a very affordable lunch special including curry/rice, salad and egg roll which was surprisingly filling. Coming here was so refreshing from the normal American cuisine. Flavor profile is authentic, not the absolute best curry ever had but I would gladly come here again. Also got a free Tai tea for checking in and it was one of the best Tai team’s I’ve had in a while. Awesome lunch!
