Newly opened Uberto Restaurant is a project of Michelin starred Chef Ryan Smith of Staplehouse fame.

This truly farm to table kitchen is actually on the Quercus farm, a luxury lodge resort with a comprehensive well managed garden planted exclusively for supplying the restaurant and guests of the lodge.

Chef Ryan is pushing the envelope in this new project. Every dish was not only delicious, but truly unique – a major accomplishment in the largely derivative world of fine dining.

If you enjoy fine dining but feel there is nothing much new to discover, head down to Uberto to be reacquainted with innovation and supremely balanced cooking.

An incredible experience. The menu stretched my (fairly experienced) palate. I became intimately familiar with miso and koji. That said, I believe I caught a glimpse of what chef Ryan Smith, Kara Hidinger and team are doing with Uberto.

I appreciate the time, effort and forethought serving behind the scenes in the preservation, fermentation and curation of ingredients from the ground to our plates. This menu was stewardship served beautifully on a plate. Each bite was full of integrity, balance and exquisite culinary artistry. A well choreographed immersion of dining and hospitality.

Top notch service. Personal, intimate, professional. A culinary adventure with excellent companions.

It would be an honor to return.

A destination restaurant, beautifully sited in the countryside yet just an hour away from Atlanta. What a special place, with really thoughtful and creative use of local (meaning, from the farm on which the restaurant itself is located) produce. So many creative dishes with unique flavor combinations, every course was simply a revelation – some were just incredibly tasty, others were perhaps more interesting than delicious (though none were bad), but they were all so thoughtful, beautifully presented and on the whole, this is easily (multiple) Michelin-star caliber dining. And yet, the highlight of the experience was host Kara – a great conversationalist with an exceptional eye for detail. I can’t remember the last time I felt hospitality like that.

I wish more people knew about this place, it’s easily the best restaurant I’ve been to this year.

What an absolutely delightful experience. Ryan Smith is absolutely at the peak of his skills. The closest thing to experiences like Noma and Alinea I’ve ever had in the state of GA. The service was spectacular. Absolutely worth the drive. Unquestionably one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
