Update 01/13/26 – game changer. If I could give a 6th star I would. When I asked what other sauce flavors they have, new owner Lan suggested mixing their spicy sauce into the white sauce, and it was amazing. I highly recommend it…mix half the spicy sauce with each white sauce and thank me later.
Update 12/28/25 – Tried dining in this time. Delicious again. Friendly service. Maybe they can get a new Google maps listing so that the low scores during the previous ownership won’t be held against them.
12/20/25 – First time trying US Hibachi. I hesitated due to the low review score and reports of small portions. I had received large portions from a competitor in the past but not on my most recent visit, so that combined with new reviews of US Hibachi being under new management led me to give it a shot. I’m glad I did. The taste was deliciously on par with standard hibachi takeout, meaning if you like hibachi, you won’t be disappointed. And the portion was double that of a competitor. When they asked if I wanted soup or salad, I thought they were trying to upsell me, but it came with it. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some shaved carrot and the ginger sauce was good.

Small place with a big taste. I had the steak and snapper combination and the plate was overflowing with food. The taste was excellent when compared with many other Hibachi restaurants I have visited.

Would not eat here again. Despite living so close, was hoping for a quality Asian restaurant to get takeout from. Well, carry out alone for two hibachi plates was over half an hour wait. It would have been worth it to go to University Parkway and eat at one of the restaurants there, but we decided to take a chance. Before going, I saw the reviews about the small portion sizes and since they were from a while ago, I thought maybe they had improved. They did not- it was NOT enough for one person per plate. Not worth the price, nor the wait. Only gave two stars because of location convenience.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I paid $29 for 4 plates that looked like this. This is barely enough to feed my 4 year old and this is an adult size plate. We will definitely not be going back.

I’m giving it 4 stars because there are quite a few less than stellar reviews, and one of the common things seems to be the amount of food. I got a hibachi chicken to go. There was less food than I normally get at other Japanese restaurants. It was good and they did give me 2 cups of white sauce. They were small but i didn’t run out. That was a plus
