Fun little hole in the wall/dive bar style restaurant. Seemed like every free space on the walls & ceilings covered in Crown Royal bags. Food is pretty good. When we’re out in JC for VFW meetings, we try to make sure to stop in. Staff is incredibly fun and helpful. Food quality suffers a smidge if you have a big group or if they’re busy, but that can be expected in most dive bar style places. Everything I’ve tried is quite tasty. Definitely worth stopping in. They have a good variety from simple appetizers up thru some tasty steaks. If you’re going later for dinner, be ready with a 2nd choice just in case they ran out of your first choice which has happened to our group several times.

A hidden gem. The food and service was great. It’s a seat yourself sports bar for families as well. Went for dinner and it was pretty empty. Loved that we didn’t have to wait like most restaurants. We ordered a Tyme Out Burger with an over hard egg & Big Tyme Burger that has brisket & bacon. The fries weren’t so great, but could’ve been just the way it was made that night.

We had the big 16oz steak with fries. They make them in house. Fries are delicious. I had grilled shrimp with a salad and vegetables. Ask for light seasoning on the shrimp. They have a full bar with drink specials.

Food was terrific! The steak quality was ok, but it was cooked well (not well done) , but like correctly. I felt like I was eating home cooking. The service was great! (Hbm was our server I believe!) The atmosphere was kind of dive bar-ish, which i liked, others may or may not.

It’s not 5 star ambience, more like a small town bar, or like moose lodge club. Someone likes Crown Royal there! And boy when I tell you the best steak I’ve ever had was at tyme out. And perfect price. And their fries are the best. Cheese sticks too. I will now sneak away for a steak here when I crave one. Wait staff treated you like you been going there for years. Great 1st experience.

We visited for the 1st time because Google recommended it. We arrived for a steakhouse, but looks like a dive bar inside a grocery store. Wanted to order 6 oz steak they were out — just trim 2 oz off your 8 oz…lol. So tried to order salad but we were encouraged not to, because its brown! Got a steak, french fries, green beans. After talking to several regulars and a couple staff, we realized this is a hang out for regular bar patron, primarily older couples coming in to visit. Anyhow, dark, poorly decorated (see dusty crown bags stapled over everything) in my opinion dive bar. 1 bite of green beans, 4 french fries and 1 only bite of steak and knew not to eat more. Promptly sick within the hour. 🙁 Not somewhere I’d return. Could have complained, but all the previous reviews show comments that said, ‘should have said something while you were there’, but they dont rectify it, so no point. So bottom line, local bar hangout, called a steakhouse.

The place is very well lit. The toast is good and the fries. The cooks do not know the difference between rare and raw though. They offered us a second steak that they remade it was not any more done. Pics for what I received.

Nice cozy restaurant and bar. Service was great and drinks were good. Crown Royal seems to be a good option here. Unfortunately food is just average. Our steaks were overcooked and kind of tough. Potato skin appetizer was decent. Might have better luck with other meals.

I ordered the Special 15oz Prime Rib. First I was told I could not order it below Medium temp. Next, my “side salad” came… a small bowl of old iceberg lettuce with A SINGLE SLICE of cucumber and A SINGLE SLICE of tomato. When my meal arrived, my 15oz steak was maybe 9oz. The Prime Rib was GRILLED, with criss-crossed grill marks. The steak was barely seasoned. The aus jus was slightly brown water with some minced garlic floating in it. The vegetable of the day was canned corn. This “meal” plus a single bottled Miller Lite was $45. Horrible food, horrible service, and horrible atmosphere.

Beef prices are high right now, so I can’t fault the restaurant for how expensive the steak was. I got the 16 oz KC strip rare. Came out perfectly cooked to rare with a great traditional grilled flavor. Fries are cut in house and were delicious. Sauteed mushrooms on my steak were great. It’s a bit of a dive, but it’s very obvious the owner takes pride in his restaurant.
