Normally I love this place. I have been going here for many years. I just got a take out order and my wife wanted a special pork dish. The place was not busy at the time. The 40 dollar dish had bone dry pork. I wouldn’t be leaving a review normally but the manager on hand Brady did not apologize or anything. Offered me a gift card (thanks) but literally no response other than that. Go to the restaurant. It is great, but Brady needs to learn how to deal with customers and at the very least say how sorry he was for the bad food. I wasn’t yelling or anything. I was calm, just asked for a refund. He said he could only give me a gift card, which I said okay to. Again, he never acknowledged that the food wasn’t up to par. Meanwhile I now have to cook something for my wife to eat.

My favorite spot since moving to the area. I go at least once a month—sometimes weekly—and it never disappoints. The service is always friendly and reliable, the food is consistently great, and the weekly specials are really creative and interesting.

The beer selection is from 2SP, which is easily one of the best breweries in the area— with a rotating guest draft list that’s good too. And the bread pudding? Literally the best I’ve ever had. I don’t give out 5 stars, pretty high standards – but this place gets it!

I have had 2SP happy hour over 10 times now. I usually get wings, where Buffalo and “Sweet Heat” are the best. There really isn’t a bad thing on the menu. Great, affordable spot!

Update: the bread pudding is SO good 10/10

Great neighborhood gastropub! Stopped by after a Philadelphia Union soccer match. Service was very friendly and helpful with menu choices. And it tasted great!

The atmosphere was very nice, clean! Waitress was super attentive while also being busy! I truly have never got a dinner entree, mostly apps or sandwiches. But this BBQ Brisket Mac & Cheese was so so good!!! Highly recommend!

It was really good! I LOVE a good Cheese Plate, and I got a Great cheese plate! I also got the Foie Gras Burger. I hadn’t had foie gras before, so I thought it was pretty cool that I could try it at a place that wasn’t a high-end French restaurant. It was pretty good! I enjoyed all of the food there. The waitstaff was awesome. Really nice atmosphere as well. Would Definitely go again. Kinda want to go now…but it’s 7:30am

Wings and food.are always good. Ambiance is great too. But for the winter season, bundle up. They keep the heat low in the seating areas and it really takes away from the enjoyment, with freezing and eating at the same time.

Sat at the bar for dinner and drinks with a friend around 5pm. It was moderately busy but not too loud, with kind of an awkwardly shaped floor plan, basically 2 hallways separated by a wall. Bartender was nice enough. I had the pear cocktail and a glass of the red sangria offered from the cocktail list; both were delicious, but the pear cocktail lacked the larger pear and ginger notes I expected from the ingredients. It mostly just tasted like a spiked sparkling lemonade; good, but not expected.

My friend and I shared a plate of the brussel sprouts after I saw reviews recommending them. They had good flavor, but my friend and I both noted how salty they were and how absolutely drenched they were in the sesame-soy sauce. We both enjoyed the sriracha aioli with them, but they made me thirsty

I ordered the Peebee & Jay burger (pictured) and enjoyed it greatly!! The flavors worked great together. The beef patty had good flavor, but was definitely rare and not the medium I asked for. I didn’t mind enough to ask for a replacement. The pork belly was crispy, with good flavor, maybe a little overdone. The popper fries were delicious! I felt like the little pickle nubbin’ on my plate was strange and difficult to eat. I’d rather have had a spear or whole mini pickle; my friend commented on how it looked like I got stiffed with a pickle stem lol

My friend ordered the shrimp arancini (pictured) and loved it!! He told me the carrot puree was delicious and the plating was beautiful. I didn’t try his food but it smelled and looked great! He also enjoyed his draft beer.

Overall, I had a good time, but I felt like there was a lot to be improved about the food and drink. I hate to be nitpicky, but after paying $63 (after 20% tip) for a modest meal at a restaurant I’ve heard rave reviews from locals over and over, I would’ve expected these smaller details to be locked down and perfected. With it’s convenient location and appealing menu, I will most likely be back to give 2SP another try.

P.S. the music playlist was boppin’!

EDIT (4/11/24): Originally I had written celiac folks beware due to the “gluten friendly” label on dishes containing soy sauce. The restaurant has replied clarifying they use La Choy Gluten Free Soy Sauce. My review has been edited to reflect this and I’m happy to hear the restaurant takes allergies seriously I strive for honesty in my reviews and I thank 2SP for their clarification; I will be back!

Very nice atmosphere. The lunch menu was delicious. Vegetarians have options as well (veggie burgers). Definitely order the famous fries! They were rated number one in the state of Delaware in the past. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will be returning again in the future.
