While traveling south through in Oregon at lunch time on a Sunday, I googled “dining near me,” and Two barrels Tap and Grill caught my attention because it offered dining with views of the Columbia River. My wife and I found the restaurant was tucked inside River Lodge and Cabins in Boardman. We chose a table near the window and was treated to great views of the Columbia River as advertised. Service was prompt, the beer choices were awesome, and the food, especially the elk burger and the steak salad hit the right notes with bold flavors. Two Barrels Taps and Grill is a no nonsense pub that delivers exceptional service, food, and drink at reasonable prices. The views out the window made it all the more special dining experience.

The food is really good, but the service from the staff is bad. They give you weird looks and don’t serve you with enthusiasm — you don’t feel welcome.
It could be my favorite place, but the customer service is terrible.

We were there on a quiet Wednesday in November. Walked right in and had a window seat with lovely view of the river. Cavernous place, but quiet enough when we were there. Patty melt was good, although it seemed to be a burger between two pieces of bread, not a fresh made patty. But the Shaver prime rib sandwich was a disaster with one thin, dried piece of fatty beef curling up around the edges. It supposedly had horse radish sauce, but it was just a schmeer. Hard to mess up tater tots, and they were good. Server asked about our meal and discounted the $19 sandwich, so that was appreciated. There were some dirty tables when we came in and a fly kept us company. To survive, this place needs to up their game, get a better cook, and provide better value.

We love eating lunch here! It’s such a nice spot, right on the water with a beautiful view. The service is excellent—thank you, Tonya, you’re amazing! The food is always delicious. We try something new every time we visit, and so far, we haven’t found a single thing we didn’t enjoy. Highly recommend!

We were greeted immediately and seated by the window with a river view. The server greeted us promptly. The food took a bit to get to the table. My chicken on the bed of spaghetti and tomato sauce was a bit gristly and didn’t seem to be seasoned all too well. The sauce was comprised of what I assumed to be and tasted like just tomatoes. Not much there to excite the palate. The noodles were done well, soft, which is my preference. The garlic roll was warm and tasted good.
The fish tacos were heavily breaded and lacked finesse.
I think with some fine tuning with the service staff and some expertise in the kitchen, it could be a phenomenal restaurant given its location and view.
Keep it up.

I live close to the restaurant and I come here rather often (probably too often!). The people are great, the view is beautiful, and the food is fine. Plus, I’ve never felt rushed when sipping a drink and taking in the view. If you’re in the area and you want a nice view with a nice service team, this is a good place to go.

My husband and I wanted some good Garlic Parmesan Fries while staying at the hotel tonight and saw them on the menu and I was excited! I would’ve settled for fries with garlic and Parmesan…this was neither! It was the worst iteration of the garlic Parmesan fry ever. What we got was beer battered fries with what tasted like a sweet and sour type sauce with red chili flakes. They were horrible and I would never call them a garlic Parmesan fry. I tasted no garlic and no Parmesan whatsoever. The waitress was understanding and let me know that’s how they do them here, and asked if I would like plain fries. I sent them back because they were that bad, and she brought me plain beer battered fries and they were good, but not what I originally went here for which is super disappointing. If you’re going to make sweet chili sauce fries; then call them that! Don’t add the words “Garlic & Parmesan” in the title. I know this is a dumb rant, but I’m annoyed and think they should reconsider how they make these fries.

We all enjoyed our meal, as well as the stunning sunset and river outside. My son mentioned that his food (burnt ends) wasn’t that hot. My husband really enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. My daughter ate all of her cheeseburger (she rarely does that). My meal was good, but I wish I had ordered a salad instead…lol! Service was attentive. My hubby and son reported that the beer was tasty, too.

Ordered country fried steak when I got it there was no gravy on my mashed potatoes. I asked the waitress about it and she said they don’t come with gravy. This is the only restaurant I’ve never had gravy on the steak and potatoes. My potatoes to top it off were cold and the steak was over cooked.
It sucked will never eat there again and highly advise against it if your passing through Boardman Oregon.
They didn’t adjust my meal to compensate for shitty food and service.
I ordered a margarita and had to ask for it 3 times before she brought it to me.
Never again!!!
