Two HUGE plates of delicious food and drinks for $30.
For years, the burritos have been consistently amazing: huge, filling, and packed with flavor. Fluffy eggs, perfectly cooked potatoes, and that signature New Mexico chile made them crave-worthy every time. Our absolute favorite has always been the Rio Grande which is carne adovada egg potato with red chile—it was rich, flavorful, and unmistakably authentic.
However, over our last three visits, we’ve noticed a disappointing change. The red chile recipe seems completely different and honestly doesn’t even resemble a traditional red chile sauce anymore. It’s been such a letdown after years of loving this dish.
We’re still rooting for Twisters and truly hope this is a temporary change. Please bring back the original red chile recipe—it’s what made this place special and kept us coming back again and again.
We were greeted as we entered and given plenty of time to study the menu. Several patrons waiting for food were effusive in their praise and made suggestions.
We ordered chicken chili burritos, regular size, and were stunned with the portions. More importantly, the food was to die for.
This place has almost certainly taken P1 for fast casual burritos. I’m going to try the brekkie burrito soon.
One thing: I can’t remember if it’s a Coke or Pepsi house, but I’d like to see Coke/Pepsi Zero replace diet soda in the fountain dispenser.
As we left we were thanked for coming.
