Great time after a hike. Food was wonderful. Service was excellent by Bethany. We ordered a smash burger and chicken tenders. Best of all they are dog friendly and even menu items for our furry friend. Served in a dog bowl, our dog enjoyed grilled chicken with a handmade biscuit. 5/5, highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about this place!
The owners were quite possibly the most welcoming and friendly people you could encounter.
Their focus is the customers experience, right down to filling water bowls for their four legged guests.
The live music, the servers, the menu, I mean it was all incredible.
I’m a picky eater and I cleaned my plate.
The smash burger and French fries alone are enough to come again.
They have toys to entertain children, a great kids menu and even something on the menu for the dogs.
I was actually shocked when I got my bill. The prices floored me. You can feed your entire family at the Twisted Spoke for the price of one meal in a usual “vacation” spot.
This restaurant is hands down one of the best places in Ohiopyle and an absolute MUST GO if you’re in town.

Hands down the best place in town for food & drinks. They had Block House on tap which made the experience all the better. Great atmosphere, peeps, weather, bier! Cant wait to go back.

After swimming in the river I stopped here for lunch. I ordered the wings and a chicken quesadilla. Both were very good! Wings were $19 for a dozen which is pretty expensive, only complaint. Wings were done very well, skin was crispy. The server was very friendly and it was nice sitting on the patio!

We stopped by after a day out in Ohiopyle and couldn’t have picked a better place. The vibe was laid-back and cozy — perfect for a post-adventure meal.
I had the Mediterranean Grain Bowl with shrimp, and we also shared some chips & guac — everything was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. We also tried a Yuengling draft and their signature drink, the Twisted Spoke, which was a great surprise. Refreshing and well-balanced!
Special thanks to our server Bethany L — super friendly and made the whole experience even better.
Atmosphere, food, and service all get a solid 5/5.

Locally owned in ohiopyle. We ordered up on the top deck, but had to go down to the bar to get any kind of drink. The outdoor seating was very nice. Our food took a little bit to come out. They were out of nachos, romaine and iceberg lettuce (so no salads). I had ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich with fries. When I saw my sandwich I was highly disappointed. It wasn’t a chicken breast it was chicken lunch meat- which I couldn’t eat. I ate the bacon, cheese and spinach along with my fries. The fries were very good. My husband got the brisket tacos he said their were 3 small tacos. He said it was pretty good.

We enjoyed everything about our time at the Twisted Spoke. Yummy vegetarian options, terrific music, clean(!), doggie water bowl for every pooch, welcoming staff, cool deck. Those reviewers who complained had unreasonable expectations. My black bean burger was tasty (homemade!) With crispy lettuce, tomato, onions and condiments. Yummy fresh cut fries. LOTS of food. My husband had the Mediterranean bowl with perfectly grilled shrimp & veggies on quinoa. I just wish they had merch more accessible, but we will be back to find our t-shirt someday.

Tourist here, what I am about to tell you is important, this restaurant is a huge disappointment. 1st, the kitchen. It’s really the heart of the problem, it is very slow and they just don’t care about the food they put out because, frankly they don’t have to, dumb hungry tourists like me will stop anyway.
The spinach dip came out with the meal, cold and microwaved. The burger was well done and dry. My chicken salad sandwich was just pathetic. No tomato, lettuce or flavor.
The only reason they are getting an extra star is the bartender/cashier was friendly.
