I really loved this place, it’s a great spot to get a drink and hangout with friends. The main reason why I think people should come here is because I’m a local and there is not a dive bar in the area that provides this level of service. The bartenders are kind and attentive, you will get a drink without waiting too long and you will feel comfortable and safe. Yes it may be slightly pricier but not by much, this is the kind of place that makes it worth it. I am not a regular but I will be after tonights visit. My local bar being Mr. Cs has disappointment me with their management but this place will treat you 10x better. Please come and visit Jennifer and Colm, they were the best bartender and I’m sure they will treat you well also.

Where to begin about this hidden gem of an Irish pub located on the southwest side of Chicago? Having recently returned from a trip to Ireland, Scotland in the UK, I am very familiar of what a proper Irish pub is like. I also need to say that I have been all over North America and most of Europe and have been to hundreds if not thousands of bars. The twisted shamrock knocks the ball out of the park on all accounts, atmosphere, service and cleanliness. The drinks are absolutely superb, from a excellent old fashioned to a properly poured black and tan. My wife had a Christmas cocktail which she said was just Divine. The bartender there, shorter guy with a beard is one of the finest bartenders I’ve ever encountered. His knowledge of sports and cocktails is second to none. A few ladies who are sitting at the end of the bar were saying how he is very easy on the eyes (Don’t ask me I don’t swing that way ). I wish I would have gotten his name so I could give accolades or accolades are due. The crowd was mixed and lively. From old to Young, everyone was welcome and having a good time.

Awesome bar for starters. The people, the vibe, and the drinks are all top-notch. There’s a little sweetheart named Katie who works weekends—she’s incredibly down-to-earth and goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. Honestly, she treats us like family.
I haven’t tried the food yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. If you’re looking for a laid-back South Side pub with great energy, this is the spot.

If you are looking for a chill spot to have a couple drinks, definitely check this place out! The customer service was phenomenal and prices are affordable for great drinks! What really stood out the most was the fact that this bar has a variety activities/events everyday. The bar is pretty spacious as well, great if you are not looking for something too packed/crowded as my girlfriend and I were. Colem (apologies if it’s misspelled) was super nice and attentive. 10/10 will come back to enjoy the patio

The bar has a great atmosphere and everything you want for beer on tap. Prices are perfect, and not a spot in the bar that you can’t see a TV for sports. Tons of history plastered on the wall. The bartender Jen is fantastic. I can not wait to come her to watch, cheer on and celebrate the Chicago Hounds Rugby.

Great little bar with a great vibe. The board games available add for extra fun. Not too loud (besides celebrating board gamers). Jen the bartender was polite and friendly, and was always incredibly helpful and quick. A must-visit place whenever I am in Chicago.

Wow, what a turnaround from what Twisted Shamrock used to be! The new owners have made a drastic change to not only the look and feel of the bar but also introducing events that keep you engaged from Karaoke, Live Music, Trivia Nights, Bingo (even naughty bingo), Bags Tournaments, events with the ChiCago Hounds rugby team, and much more! They’ve also have amazing cocktails like their Old Fashioned, Chocolate Martini, Cherry Cheesecake shots, and a lot more I still need to try. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood or traveling from Midway Airport.
