Visited on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Bollywood Bowl, Paneer Tikka Masala, and a side of fries and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was. Megan was helpful and kind. Thank you for the exceptional service.

Let’s start with the fries: they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — that ideal texture balance that’s hard to find. I also loved their unique shape, which gave them an extra crunch and helped the seasoning cling to every bite. The light dusting of spices added just enough flavor to make them irresistible without being overpowering.

Now, onto the main dish — the Bollywood Bowl with Paneer Tikka Masala. Absolutely delightful. The flavors were bold yet balanced, and the combination of paneer and chickpeas was phenomenal. I’m usually not a fan of plain white rice, but this rice was exceptional — fluffy, flavorful, and topped with a creamy white sauce that tied everything together perfectly. My only small wish? A few more chickpeas would’ve made it even better.

The restaurant itself is cozy — small in size but warm and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy your meal. Overall, I was really impressed by the food, service, and presentation. I highly recommend this spot and look forward to visiting again the next time I’m in St. Pete.

I’ve tried this place a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. I even got a request from my thirteen year old niece to take her here and she eats chicken nuggets, steak and cheese pizza – of course I have to eat her vegetables. They have a fairly simple menu but give you several ways to have your food (e.g. bowl, tacos, sandwich style, etc.)

Pros:
* Simple menu – all the popular choices
* Quick and friendly service
* Great selection of beverages
* Great atmosphere

I only visit St. Pete a couple of time a year but this is one of my go-to places.

“A Curry Crusade You Didn’t Know You Needed”

Twisted Indian isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a flavor rollercoaster that grabs your taste buds, spins them around, and yells “Namaste, baby!” before dropping you into a bowl of tikka masala glory.

The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the aroma of spices so good, I briefly considered signing a lease inside. I ordered the butter chicken, and let’s just say my soul ascended halfway to Mumbai. The naan? Softer than my pillow. The samosas? Crispy triangles of happiness that made me question every snack I’ve ever loved.

The staff somehow manage to be both cool and efficient — like if customer service had a Netflix series. They actually look like they enjoy being there, which in 2025 is rarer than an unbroken phone charger.

And shoutout to whoever designed the spice levels — “medium” is perfect for people who want to feel alive without seeing visions of Ganesh.

If you’re walking around downtown St. Pete wondering whether to grab sushi, tacos, or pizza… stop. Get twisted. You’ll walk out smelling faintly of cumin and victory.

My wife and I were craving Indian and heard good things about this place. We absolutely loved it! They do a more modern take on Indian with their “bollywood bowls” and other iterations of traditional Indian dishes like a currito.

The goat curry was by far my favorite. Chicken was fantastic as well though.The naan bread was perfectly baked as well and very tasty with a few options for flavors. Highly recommend for a quick meal that scratches that Indian food itch

First time visit. They do lots of takeout sales, but we dined there. You order at the register and they bring the food to you. Cute atmosphere. Not crowded on a Wednesday night around 6pm.
Tasty and attractive food. Very pleased. And very reasonably priced too. The Currito was big and delicious. The curry flavored rice that came with the tacos was yummy. My wife like the corn tortilla wrapped tacos, me not so much.

I love this place! Amy (the girl with tattoos and long black hair) is so sweet I love when she’s working. The menu is very simple but delicious and comes out quickly! The ground lamb was flavorful and I love the paneer. My mom gets the lamb and I get the paneer and my boyfriend loves the chicken. I love the currito!
The mango lassi is amazing and the naan just by its self is so soft. The bowls are awesome, the curritos are the best because it’s like a bowl in my hand; and the naan which is great but is very messy! Also the staff here are super sweet! They always come out to say hi to my son (he’s a year old) and my son loves coming here. The lady who normally works during the week is so pretty and sweet. I love her tattoos too and she always has the best outfits. I’ve been here about 20 times I’ve never had a bad experience.

Twisted Indian! The name explains it all. Americanized Indian dishes. Still flavorful and some authentic spices.

Service was courteous and kind. They have some interesting Indian beer items one may find interesting.

Thank you!

TWISTED INDIAN is the BEST!! This is prob my FAVE SPOT in St Pete for a quick dinner. The dishes are bangin’ and anything you try is going to taste amazing. Rich flavors and just the right spice. I’m vegetarian & always get the Seitan Korma tacos with rice & chickpeas. It’s the perfect balance of spicy & savory, then the rice, beans & slaw cool you down. I can never get enough of this place! ❤️

Good food, definitely a modern take on Indian food and wish they had more options closer to Indian cultured food instead of tiki Masala but was kinda expected for the twist. Liked the variance and take on the bowl. Would do take out next time since seating is limited.
