It’s tight.
Lots of drivers have had to go over the curb to turn in,
especially if your tandems are
slid back at all.
If that might be a problem for you then you might want to try to find a way to come straight in.
There is room to maneuver
once you’re in the lot and
there IS overnight parking-
unless it’s full.
When you enter,
parking is on the right and the
Live Load docks are to your left.
Park and walk over to Door 4-
there’s a little white shack sticking off the building.
Check in there.
I checked in after Midnight,
there are apparently people there
all night.
Watch out for potential potholes against the fence when backing in
to the docks-
one driver in these reviews showed pictures of his torn-off mudflaps.
They occasionally seem to fill
that area in.
I think that this is the only facility that I’ve ever been to that
has the Load Lights
on the PASSENGER side
of the trailer…
I’M DEAD SERIOUS.
They have had drivers pull out
with a forklift inside.
I did confirm this with the
Shipping/Receiving people.
The light for Door number 4
is missing-
it’s torn off the wall but you can see the cable and holes.
Personally,
I had no problems with these things but be alert.
They usually only have 1-2 doors open for Live Load and
there are about 5 spots
for trucks waiting.
It does smell-
especially when it’s hot outside.
It’s a chicken facility,right?
Of course,
it is slow here like most everyone seems to be reporting
on these reviews.
This facility can be dangerous for drivers, workers and equipment.
2 stars for friendly people and overnight parking-
One star each.
I didn’t notice any bathrooms or driver facilities
but I didn’t look or ask.
I come prepared.
I don’t rate it any higher because they really do take too long.
The product was not completely ready and it was pushed forward
12 hours-
I’m trying to pass by my Home
on the way to the delivery
so this is obviously not appreciated.
Oh,well…
I arrived low on hours so it wasn’t
TOO bad.
Be patient,alert and professional
and you’ll be fine.
If you can’t handle places like this occasionally,
get a job in an office cubicle.
Arrived: 1300
Departed: 1400
Easy check in and out.
Decent size yard for docking
Make sure your trailer is clean
Polite and professional staff.
I saw the TA express truck stop, when exiting the interstate. Made a left and follow down to stop Sign then made a right and follow that down a few miles. You will make a left and go over railroad tracks and you will see the no truck signs and then the road (follow trucker GPS) take you straight to customer
No bad smell no bad altitude.
Yard guy is great helpful, lady on check in also, left phone number, she call me in 5 minutes, door 19,tight but not for crying and finished in about half an hour.
Overnight parking don’t know, didn’t want to risk,I slept on Loves north on 49.
If they tell you to wait 1–2 hours, don’t believe it — that’s a lie. The load is never ready here. Just read the other reviews: everything people are saying is 100% true.
Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time, fuel, or nerves. Stay away from this place.
DO NOTTTT COMMMMMEEE HERE!!!!!
I will never comeback here
Meat exported from here to Canada have to be inspected and certified at A warehouse called “Border City USA” in Hamtramck, MI(check their open/close timings ahead). Meat load, it may be good for owner operators but not worth for company drivers, too much waste of time, for a low compensation.
Checked in at 2PM and got call to get on dock at 3AM and another few hours to load. No truck parking on premises, street and intersections around facility are too narrow some are one way, it’s downtown of Fort Smith, AR.
It’s tight space to get in and out of the docks, you may have to wait until truck besides you move, or you move to help him get out. How to check in process in photo attached.
