We loved this restaurant! Last night was our first time. We dined in. We had nachos and added grilled steak. This was an outstanding appetizer. The grilled steak was awesome! My husband said he would order the steak next time because the steak on the nachos was so good. I had cheeseburger sliders, and the taste of the burger patty was like a charcoal grill. Definitely the best sliders I’ve ever had. The guacamole with the nachos and cheese sauce was also great. Really I cannot speak highly enough. Our server was attentive but not obnoxious. There is a decent wine selection. There was karaoke last night, it was really loud, but we were seated far enough away that it wasn’t obnoxious. It was pretty entertaining. We will definitely be back. I would go tonight 🙂

Stopped in today for lunch and was really impressed. The service was fast, the food came out hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The staff was polite and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

First visit to have dinner before the free entertainment show. Shrimp Tacos and Pinot Noir were delicious according to my wife. I didn’t like the mushy fish tacos.
Joined by long time friends who stopped by for drinks and the Pat O’Brien RVA show.
Highly recommend following Pat O’Brien RVA on Facebook for his schedule.
Dancing, laughing and singing were allowed.

I went here recently to grab drinks with a friend but ended up eating dinner as well. The food was absolutely AMAZING. I got the seared tuna and my friend got the sliders. We devoured our food and got to listen to live music on the rooftop as well! Our night couldn’t have gone better. A big shoutout to one of the workers there, Mitchell. I didn’t catch him for long, but he was very sweet and welcoming to us. We will definitely be back!

I’ve heard about this place and had never been to the original location. I heard great things about this place so I was excited to check it out. We were seated promptly by the very friendly hostess in a snug little booth. The ambience was great, loud but not obnoxious. I’d say there were close to 30 tables taken, but I didn’t count. Our server was wonderful, prompt and helpful. She checked in on us just enough times to make sure our waters were full and our food and drinks were delivered. The menu is robust and there are a lot of great options; it was hard to pick! I chose the shrimp scampi. When it was delivered, it was a soup. It was a lot of noodles, a lot of liquid, and what tasted like frozen shrimp. It was disappointing and I was just so surprised that this was what as served. The apple cobbler bread pudding made up for it. It was incredible! I would return but I would not recommend nor order the shrimp scampi.

I was trying to find a semi-private spot (basically tables off to the side) for a work event. I was used to the normal restaurant response: “you need to contact our catering manager” or “call us back to check on the availability”.
But Jessie, Manager, at Twin Hickory Tavern on Parham, showed me a perfect spot and made a reservation for us. While other restaurants responded to me with an additional step, Jessie solved my problem.
I write this review after our event so I could also comment on the food and service! FANTASTIC. We will definitely be back. Brandi (our server) was friendly and attentive! We loved the food. Exceptional raves for all the sliders (chicken, cheeseburger, and steak), Brussel sprouts, fries, and chocolate churros. And of course the drinks were good!
Much appreciated.

Was in VA for my ServSafe class and decided to stop in with my co-worker and I don’t regret it at all! Charlotte was a server and she was amazing! Got the west coast burger and it was so good! Definitely would stop in again if I’m around the area.

Literally sitting at the table here writing this. This is the type of place you come to 2-3 times a month because it is such a good experience. It’s a lot more spacious inside than it looks. From start to finish these folks take care of you. The food is super tasty and it came out hot and fresh. Delaney, our server, took immaculate care of us. Oh, and it may not seem it from the outside but this is a family-friendly restaurant. Bring the kiddos!

Stopped by to try them out and over all it was ok. They did have a cool band on the second floor but unfortunately we were downstairs because of their limited upstairs menu. We started out with a couple of Margaritas that were a bit light and Nachos. The Nachos were flour tortillas that were a little too hard and the cheese dip that came with them on the side was a bit lumpy. As if it was made with a Roux and it cooled down; they were okay but could be much better.
My guest ordered the Chicken Tender Wrap with a side of Mashed potatoes [Papas Con Chile Mashers]. She really enjoyed the wrap; the tenders were crispy, tender and full of flavor. Unfortunately, she did not enjoy the mashed potatoes; they were too tangy for her; I guess they over did it with the lime juice. I ordered a Carnitas taco and a Pork Belly taco with a side of Rice and Beans. The tacos tasted okay; the corn tortillas that they came in were a bit on the bland side and the rice was extremely bland. I mixed them with the beans and it was still bland. I couldn’t finish them. We finished with the Creme Brulee with a caramelized banana and that tasted great.
Service was good, staff was very attentive; they worked as a team with several staff members asking if we were doing okay and picking up empty plates.
Food and drinks were okay but nothing really stood out. I would recommend going there during happy hour but I wouldn’t go out of my way; I wouldn’t make it my go to spot just yet; they need to improve their food and drinks specially for the price.

Went to see 64 crayons. The band cancelled but it was not advertised as cancelled where we saw the bar ad for what was playing tonight (Google). Unisex bathrooms were terrible. Seeing urine on the floor and your feet sticking is a big turn off. The bay wings were so salty you couldn’t eat them. And the piped in music was really bad. Never had this type of experience there, but not sure if we will be back. At least not in the winter. Terrible experience
