Excellent food. We ordered multiple appetizers such as Oysters Orleanaise, Seared Ahi Tuna, Fried Green Tomatoes and Grilled Romaine with Shrimp. All were delicious with the oysters being my favorite. The grilled romaine had a foreign object in it and we sent it back. Service started out great, but once our food arrived the server disappeared until it was time for the check. The hostess ignored my request for a straw while the server was MIA. Overall a good experience. Twigs has several other items I’d like to try on the menu. Reservation are recommended as it can be difficult to get in without one. The kids menu had good options and was reasonably priced.

I have to say that we really enjoyed our experience. The staff were nice and helpful. The one thing I didn’t enjoy was the fried green tomatoes. But everything else was great. We will come again.

Twigs was a last minute reservation but a fine choice. We started with excellent cocktails and then moved on to a wide choice of entrees and specials. I started with fried oysters Orleannaise which were delicious. I followed with a special – halibut with lobster cream sauce on a bed of green onion risotto. It was amazing! Dessert was a perfect creme brulee. Our server was so engaging and attentive. We all loved it!

Ate at Twigs on July 27, which has become a go-to when visiting the BR area. We ate at the bar in the lounge as all tables in lounge were full and we had an absolutely wonderful time. I told my hubby we would have missed out if we’d sat at a table by ourselves. Our bartender, Brian, was great. Very attentive and very friendly. Food was great so I’m appreciating the chef and kitchen staff. We ate from bar menu having a wonderful steak and the fried chicken breast (juicy, not dry). Got to meet and speak to couples on either side of us and it was all a wonderful time. Never eaten in the dining room; loving the lounge too much. Will be back on next trip to BR.

Very good food…couldn’t fully enjoy it. My family and I went here to celebrate my birthday. Had we known that the AC was busted and nothing was being done to address the issue, we would not have stayed. It just kept getting hotter while no fans (other than the just for show low speed ceiling fans) were turned on, no doors/windows opened, and the door to the bar…where the AC worked…remained closed. Fine dining in a sauna is thankfully not a thing normally. This review would have likely been five stars, if not for my being drenched in sweat and feeling ill the whole time. The food was very good. Fancy without being pretentious. Solid flavor combinations and well cooked. Our server was very nice and tried to see if something could be done to alleviate our discomfort…but management didn’t respond as one would hope, or at all really. The heat seemed to be fine with the older folks that made up most of the customers, so maybe there wasn’t enough “demand” to trigger a customer service response. We understand that things happen but doing nothing is not an acceptable response to something like this. Despite the excellent food my family won’t be returning. We prefer to spend our money at places that provide great food AND do whatever they can to provide guests with an enjoyable dining experience (a fan or two or an open window would have at least shown some effort).

Service is fast and they’re open late enough that it can accommodate people coming from out of town/who eat later. The staff was pretty helpful. The drinks were good. The flavor and portions of food were worth the price (honestly super well priced but it’s also NC so my price gauge is skewed being from NYC). I really enjoyed each dish we got at the server’s recommendation. I also loved that they asked if the checks were separate or together which made paying so much easier for the bill.

Beautiful resteraunt, lobby and bar areas. Love the twinkling lights woven with twigs that make up the decor. Professional server Tyler took care of us very well, told us the day’s specials, but I had to get his attention for tea refills (which were quite good). My fillet was tasty but tough but my Husband reports the shrimp and grits were terrific. Very comfortable place to enjoy a long, leisurely dinner. Lots of good parking. Not really a place for kids. Live music and specials in the bar Friday and Saturday nights. Good appetizer/soup/salad menu for small plates.

First time in Blowing Rock and was told to go to Twigs but be there by 5:00. We were there at exactly 5:00 and was asked if we had reservations. Nobody told us we needed reservations! We told her no and she said that the WHOLE dining room was booked! There was no one in there or waiting! She suggested we try in the bar so we did. They have about 8 tables and they were all taken. Some people were even pushing tables together and waiting for the rest of their party to arrive. We left and we will never go back nor will we recommend it!

The most incredible meal! The service is was just as incredible. Fernando was awesome! From start to finish – we absolutely loved everything about this place! We had the pork loin special with risotto and asparagus; as well as, the trout with potatoes. We started with the crab cake and fried oysters. We will most certainly be coming back! Make a reservation! You won’t be disappointed!
