Although there was a small mishap with our order and the bacon was missing from the Double Cheeseburger, it did not take away from the overall experience. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The Tweedy’s Sauce added a unique and delicious twist to the burgers that we absolutely loved.
We were also impressed with Chrissy, who was very helpful in taking our order despite it only being her second day. Her customer service skills were top-notch and she made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The large fry we shared was crispy and seasoned just right, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received. We chose to sit at the bar and enjoy our meal, with bar drinks this time.
Overall, Tweedy’s Burgers exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious burgers. It’s a must-visit for burger lovers in the Norwood area!
The actual Tweedy’s restaurant is inside of a food court type of location. There are some tables and chairs but it’s inside an area with multiple restaurants that you can walk up to and order from and then you can choose where you want to sit down afterwards. The actual order process is self-serve on a kiosk. They appear to be minimally staffed so the person making the food can answer some of your questions but there’s no actual register attendees.
The self-serve kiosk is not the easiest to use if you’re looking for ways to customize an order. You can’t just type in a note or request so you would have to ask the attendant if it’s not a button already on the menu.
The sides are listed totally separate from the burgers and the chicken sandwiches, they’re not included with those main courses.
One of the most infuriating parts was at the end when I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I just did this entire thing myself, there was no server coming and waiting on me. I believe in tipping my servers but lest I become a broken record here, I’ll move on. Next, don’t expect to be able to pay with cash because apparently real money is worthless here. Card only as far as I could tell.
My order was placed to go so I and my family ate the food later. While I would say my cheesesteak did taste good, it was small. I was picturing an actual hoagie style sandwich, but it was just a round bun, not a hoagie style bun, and it did not include a side. It was 13 freaking dollars for that little piece of food. It might have had anywhere from 3 to 4 oz of actual meat on the bun, while the burger patties all appeared to be about 6 oz patties.
I would say all of the food was overpriced and nowhere near as glamorous as most of the photos I saw on the other reviews.
The meat on my philly was finely chopped and it had some crispy edges. When I say finely chopped, think Dixie-style-coleslaw-finely chopped!
I got something stuck in my throat which I have never had happen to me in all my 42 years alive! And this is the not the first time I’ve had finely chopped food! It’s still there several hours later and I can only hope it will dislodge itself eventually because it’s becoming very irritating.
There was also a weird situation with the cheese I wanted on the Philly. The kiosk showed an option for white cheddar cheese sauce. But about 10 minutes after my order was placed the cook asked me what kind of cheese I wanted. I looked at him funny and I showed him on the kiosk what I had chosen but he said that they were out. In a weird sense he intimated that there was a small amount left because he said that there was a small amount, but I don’t know if he meant that wasn’t enough for my order or they needed to save it for other things?
I would say that the burger patties looked decently thick but having no included side with them, it just didn’t seem worth the money or the hassle to place the order for what I was getting out of it. My family members all got burgers I was the only one that didn’t get a burger and now I regret it and wish I had gotten a burger also.
I would have loved to have tried the chicken if they had had any that was grilled and not fried. So definitely don’t come here if you’re trying to avoid fried foods.
