Came for my brother’s birthday and had an exceptional experience. Food, presentation, and atmosphere were all 10/10. The staff were extremely friendly and our food came quick despite the restaurant being packed. The special beyti kebab was amazing – much better than other Turkish places I’ve tried. Mixed cold appetizer and everything else was also very good. I’d definitely come back whenever I’m in the mood for Turkish food!

Absolutely outstanding Turkish cuisine!
Just a few steps from the University of New Haven, this restaurant exceeded every expectation. The portions are truly huge, the flavors are authentic and incredibly delicious, and the service is exceptional — fast, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
As someone who really knows Turkish food, I can confidently say this place serves some of the best and most authentic dishes you’ll find in the area. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality, flavor, and great hospitality!

We live in Westport, we drove the distance because my Turkish friend recommended the place and it was my son’s 16th birthday dinner, so very special for him. His father was recovering from a knee surgery so it was just him and I. When we entered the owner asked us if we could order and all in 45 minutes. I said sure as at the door it was saying they will close at 11 pm, it was a Friday night. I grew up in Turkey and it was my son’s first time in a Turkish restaurant so he was very excited. What an experience! They had a special event there, if they would have told us, we would go to a different restaurant and wouldn’t ruin my son’s 16th birthday. They literally pushed the post machine down our throats while we eat to pay and leave before ether event started. They could just tell us, instead they tried to squeeze one more table before the event without caring how they are ruining our evening. Fastest dinner we were supposed to eat especially considering the price. The food is not authentic Turkish kebab, it was not too bad and portions were good but it wasn’t as great as authentic Turkish kebab. If you are not from Turkey you will like it. Place is nice, modern and clean looking. We have a group of friends about 16 adults and sometimes kids join us, we eat out together at least every other week together if not every week and would take our friends crowd from Westport and go there often if the manner was different.

I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely Turkish restaurant for the first time as a dinner guest in a large party, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were treated to a beautiful spread of traditional Turkish appetizers, followed by a generous main course and delicious desserts. The assortment of meats was especially impressive and perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I may not know all the names yet, but as my first introduction to Turkish cuisine, I absolutely loved it.
The staff was attentive, friendly, and well organized, bringing everything out smoothly and right on time despite the size of our group. The restaurant had a warm, family-style feel that made the evening even more enjoyable. To top it all off, there was a live Turkish band that truly livened up the ambiance and made the night feel special. A fantastic first experience—I can’t wait to return

Mixed cold appetizer, turkish coffee, and mixed meat dish review.
What is loved about the mixed cold appetizer was that each app came in its own bowl. Unlike other Turkish places that put it all on one plate. It comes with delicious bread. I ordered some cucumbers and carrots on the side to complement the dish. I was disappointed in how much they charged for the veggies ($7.99).
The mixed meat dish provided several lamb options. The lamb chop was the home run. The other pieces of lamb were on the dry side, so I asked for some tzatziki sauce. The sauce was perfect. However, it was not worth the $7.99 price. I have never been charged for sauce. Very disappointing.
The Turkish coffee did not disappoint. It also came with 3 cubs of a gummy type candy, which was a nice touch.
I will try this place again but will be cautious if I decide to ask for extras.

Great tasting food and a nicely decorated interior for a decent price point. Always a nice place to visit every once in a while. Would also highly recommend the lamb doner sandwich for takeout

The service was beyond helpful and friendly, genuinely appearing curious about my experience, and pleased that I enjoyed my food. They were super lovely, with a warm smile, and very attentive. While the interior was nothing to ring home about in terms of atmosphere/decorations/ambiance, the food was delicious and the menu, large enough to have options but not overwhelming. My favorite bit was the display case near the entrace with all the desserts. Had me planning before I was even seated.

For years we’ve passed by Turkish Kebab House and have talked about going, so we finally made it happen! We’re so glad we did, because it’s definitely one of our top favorites for Turkish cuisine now. The recently remodeled dining room is so beautiful, and we were very impressed by the presentation of all of their dishes. We tried pide for the first time and really liked it, and all the dips and meats were delicious! Definitely save room for dessert. Great experience!

We tried the İskender and Adana kebab. The Adana kebab was excellent—perfectly spiced and juicy. The İskender was decent, though not particularly memorable. Service was moderate; not bad, but could be more attentive. Overall, a decent experience.
