Turbo Joe’s is a great halal fast-food stop if you’re traveling between Dallas and Houston. I’ve been here a few times now, and I really appreciate that they make it easy for Muslims to grab a quick bite without compromising on halal standards.

They clearly label what’s halal, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can even pray upstairs, which is a huge plus for travelers looking to combine food and salah in one stop.

The pizza is decent—not the best I’ve had, but definitely hits the spot when you’re on the road. What really surprised me were the burgers. They’re actually really good—fresh, flavorful, and much better than you’d expect from a place inside a gas station or travel center.

Highlights:
Clearly labeled zabiha halal items
Surprisingly good burgers
Friendly staff
Prayer space available
Convenient stop right off the highway

If you’re passing through and want a no-fuss halal meal, this place does the job well. Just manage expectations for the pizza, and you might be pleasantly surprised by the rest.

I’ve had a terrible experience here. After ordering my food I noticed that the price I paid and the price advertised are two different prices. It took over 10 minutes for the clerk to understand what we were saying and he was EXTREMELY rude about it. It’s very sad to say halal and then be very scummy on their business practices. They very clearly advertise the combo with a drink and yet they say that drinks are extra. Then the have the audacity to argue about it. Finally they say the menus Is the old one and they’re getting a new one . It’s a TV menu so that was very amusing to hear. It’s very sad and even though we use to rave about this place to our Muslim friends, we will now be telling everyone to avoid this place, and if you do stop here, double check your receipts. The cashier got up to my father in laws face and honestly I have never seen anything like that. If you want good halal food, if just skip this place and get the veggie burrito from buccees. Atleast that way you can see the price and know that they are honest and transparent about their pricing and you know buccees cares about customers loyalty. I finally got a refund of the price difference and the best part is they were trying to scam me out of a refund. First they were trying to refund me less than what i was owed. Then they tried to pull a fast one and instead of crediting, the clerk tried to charge my card. I haven’t seen such a sketchy and slimy restaurant. Just avoid this place and if you still have doubts look at the review for the gas station attached

Nice halal stop on the highway. One of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had in a long time. They even have a small store within the joint to shop for souvenirs, toys, and clothes. There’s also a prayer room on the second floor. Just one heads up to all buying the halal pizza, check the ingredients at the back of the box it says pork, not sure how halal that is.

This gas station has it all. The burgers are fresh cooked right infront of you and the pizza never disappoints! The best part, there is a Halal menu to go along with the original menu. Highly recommend making this a stop to fuel up for a trip. The staff is amazing and some the nicest business owners I have ever met. Cheers to a successful spot in Corsicana!

Pretty run down little convenience store with a big ditch in the front that is easy to miss spotting when you drive in. I did not try the food so I cannot speak on that. Not the world’s worst gas station/convenience store but there are definitely better ones nearby.

I got the big pappa (papi?) burger, and damn. It was so good! Very classic independent owned gas station that sells “we shoot intruders” signs and hunting knives with your name on them. 5/5 stars. Would go back for sure. Oh! And there is a motel room? This place is nuts! But fun.

Horrible Experience – Racial Profiling & Harassment by this gas station Clerk .

I just had one of the worst experiences of my life at a Valero gas station. After a long and good trip with my family, we were on our way back to Dallas and stopped here for gas. I paid, fueled up, and was just about to leave when the store clerk suddenly called out to me and said, “Take that out of your pocket.”

I was shocked and confused. I asked, “What are you talking about?” and he immediately accused me of stealing something—without any proof, without checking the cameras, without even knowing if I had taken anything. Just a baseless accusation.

I knew exactly what was happening. This was racial profiling. He looked at me and assumed I was a thief, without a second thought. That’s when I decided to take action. I called the cops myself. I had absolutely nothing to hide, and I wanted to prove that this was a false accusation.

When the police arrived, I emptied my pockets and showed them that I had taken nothing. The officers could clearly see there was nothing suspicious about me. But the damage had already been done—the embarrassment, the frustration, the humiliation of being accused in front of other customers.

This was not just an ordinary mistake. This was harassment. This was racial discrimination. This was completely unacceptable. No one should be falsely accused and treated like a criminal just because of how they look.

I will be filing official complaints against this Valero location and will be taking this issue to higher authorities. I urge Valero to take immediate action against this store and its employees for their discriminatory and wrongful behavior. If this happened to me, it could happen to someone else, and that is not okay.

I want a formal apology and accountability for this unacceptable experience. I will also be pursuing harassment and racial discrimination charges to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

To anyone reading this—be aware of how this company treats its customers. This was not just a misunderstanding. This was racial profiling, and I will not stay silent about it.

Nice midway stop. Hasan at counter is nice and welcoming. Probably owned by a Muslim brother.

Update:
Visited again and it felt great to know there’s a Masjid upstairs as well.
