Ordered the breakfast burrito w/house bacon jam.
Pictures look better than it taste! It was more of a dessert favor than breakfast. The overly sweet flavor of the bacon jam made the burrito barely edible. Every bite felt as if I was pouring sugar directly into my mouth.
First impression, looked like a great place to eat
The atmosphere is awesome. Though the cashier didn’t listen to my order and messed up my food completely, I got cold chicken on my salad which should’ve been hot, and I asked for cucumbers for my salad, the manager who came to the table
To fix things was cocky, snotty and told me had I complained about my food sooner he would’ve fixed it. But this place has a line out the door and people every where how in the world am I supposed to complain when everyone I see has a handful of food. I’m super angry so my recommendation is don’t eat here. A this is the first time I’ve ever been here and I’m seriously disappointed because this is Tahoe!
Adjacent to the parking for the East Shore Lake Tahoe Trail, the café offers picturesque views. It’s an ideal pit stop during your Tahoe adventures.
Don’t miss their tasty tacos, hamburgers, and flavorful soups. And if you’re a vegetarian, they have great options for you too!
Tunnel Creek Café is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in North Lake Tahoe! ☕️ The coffee alone is worth the visit—they offer a variety of options, and everything is brewed to perfection. I had a breve cappuccino that was expertly made ☕️✨, while she enjoyed her coffee with alternative milk (almond or oat, I believe). So many options to choose from!

For breakfast, she had eggs over easy on avocado toast , topped with fresh arugula —a simple yet delicious choice. Meanwhile, I went all in with the Grand Slam All-American breakfast —loaded with sausage, bacon, eggs, and pancakes! We even ordered extra bacon because, well, why not? Everything was cooked just right and absolutely hit the spot.

The atmosphere here is another reason to visit. It’s rustic and full of character ️, with that classic Tahoe charm. We sat beneath a giant pair of bull horns ⚡️, which definitely added to the wild West feel. Plus, being so close to what used to be the Ponderosa Ranch brings that old-school Tahoe nostalgia to life. Such a cool spot!
