I love this store, but the quality of the food as of late 3.6.26 has decreased dramatically since Sam left. Sandwiches used to be amazing, flavorful, saucy and hearty. Now they’re meager at best. The soul has been taken from the food. Sam’s sandwiches used to be a unique change of pace from the mediocrity that you get at “delis” in Vermont. Now it just feels like they are going through the motions. This diminished quality is no longer worth the price. I sincerely hope the store hires a new chef who can restore the quality of its food.

Stopped by to try their deli. Food was great! We had a Tunbridge Club and a Cubano sandwich. They were excellent. The store has a really good and diverse selection of products on offer. Candy? You got it. Donuts!? Yes. Local meat? Pantry staples? Cute things to gift friends? Yes, yes, yes. I finally have a place close by to buy duck eggs (the best egg).
The staff were really friendly, and the local couple that run it are very community focused. I will definitely be coming back. I don’t think they know how happy they’ve made me now that I can get fresh donuts nearby.

I highly recommend this store – I stopped here a few times while camping and hiking in the Tunbridge area. The breakfast sandwiches were very good both times I got one and the turkey club sandwich was a delicious post-hike meal. I also got a few Vermont themed stickers.

I can’t say enough about this place! It is a gem. There should be more like these everywhere. The sandwiches are outstanding! The selection of drinks are surprising. The old timey feel of a candy store with all of the goods. Not to mention a perfect selection of maple products. Get a maple creamy!
If your driving through town you must stop! Everyone that works there is lovely and had a chance to meet the owners! They are wonderful people!

If you’ve never been, stop in. It’s an experience all in itself. All the things you forgot to pack, plus toys and candy. Great food for take out or dine in. Check out the room upstairs, too!

Was up there a couple times. If youre not from the area- this is a place to see! If you were never to a small town store – this is where you want to stop by. Its like taking a step back in time. The people are also super friendly.

Love this little store! I visit every year when I attend The Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival across the road at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds. This year was an especially good visit. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing but the staff was just as nice, friendly and helpful as can be. Even though they had begun washing the floor, the welcomed us in, waited us in a very friendly manner, being extra kind to my grandkids. They even went out of their way to give treats to our dog waiting outside. I highly recommend this quaint little store and the wonderful staff.
