My family and I eat at Tumbleweed 2-3 times a month. It’s our go to restaurant. Today was the worse experience we’ve ever had. We get to the table and the hostess tells us she will go get a sling for our 4 month old car seat. It takes her 20 minutes to bring it. We sit down at the table and discover we were only given 2 menus and we’re a party of 4 with a baby. When our waitress finally showed up we gave her our whole order and tells her we wanted 3 mild and 1 hot salsa and 2 large queso. She brings us 3 bowls of salsa and just sits them on the table and never says which one was the hot. 5 minutes pass and I ask about the queso’s. She brings 1 out and just sits it on the table instead of putting it in the holder with the candle. 5 more minutes pass by so I ask about the other queso and once again she just sits it on the table. 40 minutes pass by and we’re still waiting for our food. We talk about just getting up and leaving. Finally our food arrives and I’m told that my order has to be remade. I ordered as my meal the potato skins with no onions, tomatoes, and no sour cream. 2 of my party orders steak and they ask for them to be cooked medium but what they got was well done. We had to ask for steak knives but the waitress only brings 1. With one of the steak orders a loaded baked potato was ordered but it had no butter or sour cream. It takes 5 minutes for her to bring butter and sour cream. The bread with the steak dinners were burnt. After about 12 minutes my potato skins came out. We were there for an hour and half. This experience was so bad that we will probably start going to the location on Dixie Hwy.

A bunch of us went for lunch and we had wildly varied results. One got a completely wrong order, two got each other’s order (same meal, different meat and you can’t tell until you’ve started eating) two had what they called drastically overdone burgers, one had a very satisfactory enchilada meal, and I had a Mex Melt Burger with fries hat was also very good.

I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but this visit genuinely deserved one. From the moment we were seated, the service was noticeably off. It took an unusually long time just to have our order taken, and when our server finally approached the table, her attitude made it pretty clear she didn’t want to be there.
We sat over 20 minutes without drinks, as well as took forever to get any refills, which is unacceptable by any standard. Our empty appetizer plates and cups were left sitting on the table the entire time—up until the food was about to arrive. I had to ask her to clear the table, and instead of simply doing her job, she rolled her eyes, removed only a couple of items, and never returned to finish clearing anything.
When the food finally came out, she placed the plates in front of us without a single word—no “enjoy,” no check-in, nothing. Just dropped them and left.
Overall, the service was unprofessional, inattentive, and honestly disrespectful. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy and effort, neither of which were shown here. I won’t be returning.

Service was absolutely atrocious, on 11/20/25.
Ate here with my fiancée her mom and her little sister. The waitress came back multiple times with wrong items. Such as bringing ranch instead of ketchup. Etc.
My fiancée is 9 months pregnant with a high risk pregnancy so she can’t eat a full meal so every other time we’ve gone to tumbleweed she gets a kids meal because of this. They told
Her she wasn’t allowed to order a kids meal because she’s an adult (I’d understand if it was just her but there was 3 other full price meals being ordered) and that they’re priced cheaper because they’re for kids. They’re priced cheaper because it’s less food ?? Because they eat less ??
Near the end of dinner my fiancee and I were talking about her induction date comin up and the waitress immediately interjected spewing things about problems going wrong, and things that could happen to her during pregnancy. ( a totally great thing to tell someone who is already anxious because she became high risk because of blood pressure issues. )
Overall the worst expirence we’ve ever had at a tumbleweed. That waitress should be disappointed in herself as a waitress. And this restaurant should be disappointed in themselves for enforcing rules blankly and not looking at the situation at hand. Instead of being able to just get a cheese quesadilla off the kids menu she was made to order the quesadilla off the regular menu and pay more and take toppings she didn’t want off.

Excellent lunch service. Our server was very attentive and hit all the marks of excellent waitressing. She brought drinks just ahead of needing them. She brought chips ahead of needing them. Our order was correct. My only complaint is the portion sizes as compared to the many local Mexican restaurants. The quality and temperature of the food was good. Would return to this location.

Decided to take my children and my mother to lunch here on 12/30. The parking lot was not busy at all and not too busy inside. We were told there was going to be some wait for service since there were only a few employees working. We placed our order at the same time as the table next to us and waited patiently. An hour later the other table received their food so I asked our waitress about our food (waited about 20 minutes after they had theirs). The waitress began to explain to me that there was an order of when food was placed and we’d get ours next and was EXTREMELY rude how she answered me. People who had arrived 30+ minutes after us had already had food so I questioned for a good reason.
I don’t plan on EVER going to this location again. It wasn’t till the waitress got an attitude with me and continued ignoring our table that frustrated me the most.

My family was able to enjoy a night out! My husband, myself, and our four children. It’s been a year since we have been to Tumbleweed. The server was amazing and the food was ON POINT!! The food was prepared for as if it were an art! And the taste was exceptional. My teenage daughter said she could taste the colors of the rainbow as she ate her first bite! I simply wanted to thank the Outer Loop team for this night. It’s not often we get a chance to go out. And they made it the best possible night!
