I stopped by Tumbao58 on a busy Saturday night when the food court was at full capacity. If you’re planning to visit during a busy time, be prepared for a bit of a wait—I was told 20 minutes upfront, which was perfectly fine given the crowd and considering that every dish is made fresh to order with limited staff and space. Watching the staff, one can tell that they are working incredibly hard to keep up.
As for food, being new to Venezuelan food, I just randomly picked the Pabellon, which included arepa (corn-based bread), shredded beef, beans, plantains, avocado, and cheese. The ingredients were fresh, and the combination of ingredients and flavors was excellent. What an incredible dish! They also followed my request to put the cheese on the side perfectly.
What stood out to me the most, aside from the food, of course, was the service. Despite the rush, Marie was especially impressive, remaining upbeat and friendly while serving and navigating a packed house.
Overall, the food and the service are well worth the time for the quality you get. I’ll be back.

We had the chance to try Tumbao58 and everything was excellent! We ordered the tequeños, arepa mechada, cachapa, and washed it all down with a grape Frescolita – every bite was delicious and full of authentic flavor. The service was top-notch, and you can really feel the care they put into making guests feel welcome. Chef Marie is truly amazing, her passion shines through in both the food and the experience. Highly recommend!

I have been searching for authentic Venezuelan food in Cleveland for years and am so happy to say I finally found it here! The arepas, empanadas and tequeños were all amazing. I took three friends with me and we all ordered different dishes and are all excited to go back again soon. Highly recommend.

Oh my, oh my, oh my! You need to come here and get your Venezuelan food fix going on! We ate here for the first time tonight and it was phenomenal. Chorizo empenadas, chicken empanadas, a chicken arepa, and a beef arepa that was out of this world! Plus sweet guava juice to wash it all down. I had to roll myself out to the car after. Lol We talked with Marie Navarro, the proprietor, and she also does catering! They make mini versions of their empandas and other foods for big functions. So your next family gathering, get your LatinX chow going on! Got an office party to order food for? Don’t order pizza again. Get real food! From real and amazing people! Marie Navarro will hook you up and make you the office STAR for ordering something people actually want to eat.

In a world where small business owners need every dollar to survive, she was all about sharing the limelight and hyping up everyone there. We highly recommend Tumbao 58, but we also plan to try every restaurant in the Centrovilla25 complex. This is about more than food. It’s a little slice of life. Great restaurant, with great food, in a great place!

Handmade arepas fresh off the grill! I haven’t been to Venezuela in almost thirty years (it hurt to do the math and remember how old I am let me tell you), but it was wonderful to taste something that could pull me back through time. And if you have never been there like my daughter, well, this is faster than a vacation and she loved the food too!
