For some place in the middle of nowhere definitely has a very beautiful view and it’s right next to the river. The food is excellent. He has the fish for the fish and chips. Flown in from Alaska fries are excellent. The chili cheese dog was huge. German dog is very good. Can’t beat the place. Italian sodas are good too. Coffees are great

Good food, service & atmosphere. It’d be nice to have some outdoor seating for pretty days. Big burger, medium fries, medium drink $20. That meal will be the only one you need that day. Fun smiles, hot food & cold drinks is hard to beat here near the end of the trail, closes at 3pm during the winter so don’t be late but 7a-7p starts in mid April. If I’m in the area north of Republic, I’m planning my trip to include a stop at Tugboats!

I was out on a motorcycle ride and came across Tugboat by accident. I was just looking for a restroom, but found out they have a cool seating area and ordered Chai Tea, which was seriously good. I noticed that a LOT of locals come through for lunch. The group sitting at the next table had some seriously good hamburgers. I’ll be back when I have a chance to be more hungry. BTW… gorgeous roads and scenery in the area if you have a motorcycle, but the trip to Tugboats is worth it by itself!

Simple fare but very welcome because of the location close to the US-Canada border in Curlew on the Kettle River Valley. We had been travelling back to Canada from Spokane and needed drinks and a washroom. Out of nowhere we found Tugboats. The staff was very friendly, the prices reasonable and a wide choice of drinks and simple food. We just had lattes, tea and a banana milkshake (tasted a bit artificial). Limited seating but not busy when we were there on a Thursday lunchtime.

Camping in the middle of nowhere and on the way to the spot see this espresso stand and decide to get a coffee – turns out they have a pretty good menu! We had leftover pizza to eat for dinner so in addition to my coffee – I had them whip us up a salad to have with our pizza! The service was quick and the salad was fresh and good! The coffee was good too!

Always a bit of a wait. Their hotdogs are killer and the burgers are satisfying after long hard working days.

Better burgers than any place in Colville can make. My husband works in curlew and brings home tugboat’s regularly. So delicious! And always really friendly staff without fail.

The people who work this single owner place on the side of the road are the kind of people you would want running your business.
Needless to say, the service is outstanding!
The food is well done, I have had their cheese burger and the fish and chips. Both are excellent. If you ever find yourself in the wilderness of Curlew, it’s worth the stop.

Over priced greasy food. Small portions. $14.50 for a small greasy bacon cheeseburger and little fries. What a joke. And owner was very rude.
