I ordered a piece of fish they use cod. The fish was very fresh. Big pieces of fish. Perfect amount of breading to fish ratio. Flaky and crispy also got the hush puppies which were ok. But fish is definitely great and im comming back for sure. Also 15 dollars for huge piece of fish, fries and 8 hush-puppies is a pretty good deal in my book. The owner/lady at front is very nice as well.

My 82 yr old mother loves this place which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.
As for my opinion… I’d give it 1 star across the board. The fish is very bland and everything is over fried. If you don’t request LIGHTLY fried it’s going to be overly done.
They charge $6.99 for Hush Puppy’s now, and a super tiny coleslaw is almost $5. I can go down the street to Sharky’s Chicken and Fish and get several varieties of flavorful fish and sides for less money.

Ordered fish and scallops combo and potstickers. I was really happy with the fish and scallops. The staff was friendly, too. Fries and coctail sauce weren’t great. I realized after taking a couple bites of fish that’s the only thing that was missing was a squeeze of fresh lemon. I asked at the counter and was told they don’t have any fresh lemons. This was a disappointment because it’s a bad sign about their sauces (how do they make tartar sauce without lemons?) and what do you mean your business is fish and chips but you don’t have ANY lemons?

Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. Here are a few of the reasons why we are not going back:
I can pretty much say that the actual fish was “missing” on the 3 piece fish and chips combo. There was so much, and I mean, SO much breading that I ended up peeling off the crust and ate whatever trace of fish I could find;
The sample plater was not any better. The shrimp was ok, oysters had a very salty taste, as in not properly cleaned. The scallops… well, look at the pic.
Even the ketchup was off. It was kept in the fridge for who knows how long and when it was brought out, it was sticky like a fruit preserve.
Lastly, for the 3 pieces of fish chips plus and the seafood platter, we were give 3 vinegar packets. When we asked for more, the lady pointed at the menu to let us know they charge $0.20 PER packet!

This is a small order at counter/eat-in or popular takeout restaurant. I’ve been here several times over the years, & I always get the fish & chips (fries). The fish is very good as are other things I’ve tasted.
The fountain drink machine has been “out-of-order” for at least 2 years, so don’t expect anything other than ice & water from it. They do have bottled beverages in a cooler.

Nice fish and chips hole in the wall. Fish was good and crunchy, but the fries seemed as though they were from thee bottom of the barrel, with brown spots and ends mostly. Cole slaw was right on flavor wise.

I wanted hot sauce but she ( the fair elderly woman) wouldn’t serve hot sauce with chips and fish because I was not eating in the shop. If I wanted it as takeaway, I would pay 25cents. Shame on you guys, I bought 25usd worth of chips and fish but she wouldn’t give hot sauce as takeaway.
