Great lil bar and well worth the drive to it. Burgers are huge and plenty variety to drink. Food specials are great and inexpensive. The people in the bar, both the employees and customers, are welcoming to all. Great car items to purchase all over the walls. Good food from burgers, fried food, steaks, and many more. Stop by for a good time.

I’m not one to drive out to try places but I heard from a coworker who used to live in Valparaiso, that this was a decent place. I decided to go and when I got there the place seemed nice. But the service is where I drew the line. It was very obvious I was getting treated a little differently than others. I don’t know if it was because I wasn’t a regular or because of the obvious difference in my skin tone, but I do know one thing for sure and that is that this place is very unprofessional. If you guys treated every customer that walked in like you treated me, you would not be open.

A great spot to get a burger and a beer. It’s a small town bar with a shuffle board table. The place is clean and has that nostalgic feel. The people are friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like one of the locals. So if you are near Tuffy’s or just want to take a little road trip give them a try.

Address is listed in Valparaiso because apparently Touhy is too small. Tuffy’s is, in fact, in Touhy. The atmosphere is pure small town Americana. Interior is interesting with the front and back sections of a truck and cars on the wall. Burgers are large and very tasty. Prices are reasonable.

Second trip to this amazing locally owned establishment, food and service is still absolutely AMAZING!
I can’t say enough about this place.
My wife had the prime rib sandwich…..I immediately had food envy and has a sneak in a bite.
Perfectly seasoned, tender, flavorful and cooked to order.
I had the pork tenderloin which was just as delicious. Not overly cooked where the breading is too crispy and the meat gets dry and tough.
We absolutely had to have the gizzards again, and just like last time, perfection!!
Meals came out super fast and everything is reasonably priced, this place is a hidden GEM!!!

Excellent place to go to! I recommend the Sunday special. Service was outstanding and our waitress was the cook too!! I’ve managed a LOT of bars/restaurants in my time, and I’d of given anything to have had her work for me.
