This was my first time visiting Tu Casa, but it definitely will not be my last. My party and I were immediately greeted and seated within minutes. The complimentary chips were warm, and their salsa has a slight heat. I ordered the steak fajitas which comes with rice and beans. My table also ordered a Mango flavored margarita, which was fantastic. After 9 pm, they move the tables to create more of a bar atmosphere, and they play music. If you’re looking for a new place, give them a try.

Stopped by during the end of a weekend trip and it did not disappoint! Kind staff, short wait time on a weekend, DELICIOUS food and great prices! On top of that, they provide live music by a mariachi band. Truly a delight. Will definitely have to come back next time I’m in the area!

I ordered 3 lunch specials for take out to celebrate my daughter’s new job. Got the bistek-excellent, shredded beef flautas-so good and enchilada/taco-delicious. I don’t typically like red sauce but it was so good! The rice and beans are very tasty as well. This is my 4th time eating here, but 1st take out. My eat in experiences have been very positive noting the house salsa is perfection and service and friendliness of my server was wonderful! I can’t wait to explore more things on the menu.

We stopped for a late lunch and had the a la cart tostadas and enchiladas. They took a little while to come out but were delicious. Our grand daughter had the empanada dinner and that was a large portion and also very good. I especially liked the house salsa. It was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. I would definitely return to Tu Casa.

The waitress wasn’t welcoming at all. She also got my fiance order wrong and basically implied it was his fault. I’ve been here before and when I tasted my food I remembered why I never went back. The food presentation is good. My rice and beans were cold. The steak was very fatty and there was literally 15 small pieces of steak in my burrito, if that. I took it apart because all I could taste was tortilla. The only thing I liked was the fried ice cream. Will not go back.

Food was good, timing of food came out perfect, and service was amazingly great!!! Our waitress was so kind, generous and beautiful. Our waters were always topped off the whole time we ate. We really enjoyed how she focused on us. She was very professional. We absolutely love the bigg tables they have there as well. I came for taco Tuesday and the chorizo taco is a must try!! Husband and kids came for the menu, and everything was yumm yumm!! Bigg thank you to our waitress for such an amazing job young lady

I ordered the “Pollo a la Plancha” (grilled chicken breast), a dish I have enjoyed here in the past. This time, however, the chicken was unexpectedly smeared with a heavy adobo sauce that drastically changed the flavor profile and was not to my liking. This lack of consistent preparation, especially for a dish I expected to be plain grilled, was a significant letdown.
Questionable Billing and Service Practices
The service issues surrounding the bill (totaling $110.63) were unacceptable:
1. Mandatory Gratuity: A service charge was automatically added to the bill without my consent. Our party consisted of only four adults and one sleeping four-year-old, which typically falls below the restaurant’s standard threshold (usually five or more people) for mandatory gratuity.
2. Handling of Change: I paid with $115.00. The waitress kept the entirety of the change ($4.37) and did not return to the table. After waiting and then getting her attention, I asked for the change. She returned with only $4.00, unilaterally keeping the remaining $0.37 on top of the already mandatory service charge. This practice of keeping unauthorized change felt unprofessional and dishonest.
Inconsistent Pricing and Nickel-and-Diming
The restaurant also engages in confusing and excessive charges:
• We were charged for basic lemon slices requested for our water.
• The pricing structure for tacos makes no sense: a single plain taco costs $5.00, but a set of three tacos is priced at approximately $13.00. This large disparity in the per-item cost is highly discouraging.
These combined issues—inconsistent food preparation, non-transparent pricing, and the questionable application and handling of mandatory gratuity—are exactly why businesses lose loyal clientele. I was deeply dissatisfied and cannot recommend Tu Casa until these fundamental issues are resolved.
