Our ladies only lunch club loved TTOWA! A group of 12, some were unfamiliar with Korean cooking, so our server recommended a variety of dishes to share. Each was served hot and better than the last, and no one was left hungry. The soundtrack playing was eclectic and had us multigenerationally entertained. Parking was close but had to look for a spot. BYOB and we were given wine glasses. Great authentic Korean food in Arlington Heights!

Ttowa is absolutely incredible. I’ve been going here for years and every time it’s so good. I love the bao buns and the rice cake appetizers. I could eat that rice cake forever. It takes like a perfectly crisp pasta. The dakkalbi chicken is grilled perfectly and is a little spicy. The portions are large. Can’t recommend this place enough. 5/5

Just had the best experience here. I had the bulgogi, and yes, it is phenomenal. The better part was the owner talked with us about all of our experiences while in S Korea. I know some may not like that but he made it feel like he was really interested in hearing our stories. I will be back. As for the quality and taste of the food, I can’t say enough how well it tasted. I strongly recommend!

Great little spot. We got there super early and were the only people there. The dakkalbi was amazing. It had a really nice char and overall just one of the best bites I’ve had in a while. We also got black bean noodles. The lady that worked there noticed we hadn’t mixed them and came over and helped us. She was very sweet. Delicious ban chan. Would drive an hour to eat here again.

My family has been eating here for years and we have loved everything we’ve ordered! The owner is so kind a friendly and always takes time to chat with us if we’re dining in, or even just picking up for take out. A MUST try!!

I believe this is a family owned restaurant. Our server was warm and friendly. He made some great suggestions and was attentive. You need to try their tteokbokki – it’s crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We ended up ordering a second serving to go, it was that delicious. You’re served as much rice, tea, and side dishes as you’d like. Definitely plan on returning.

Calling it a Korean Restaurant is a joke. Nothing tasted remotely Korean. Even the free cucumber side dish tasted extremely sweet, so is the rice cake. Kimchi pancake is tasteless. Hot stone bowl bibimbap is cooked in a skillet and then moved into the stone bowl to deceive customers. And all the ingredients were already mixed unlike the authentic dish. Everything was so bad that we had to ask for to go box to pack everything because we could bear it. A total insult to Korean cuisine.

Unassuming, low key, delicious Korean food.
We started with Dak Bun. Chicken was tender and juicy, the aioli sauce creamy and slightly spicy.
Bulgogi is the best I’ve ever had. The beef was tender and the light asju was great with rice.
Food came out fast, and the server was very attentive.
The atmosphere was homey, minimalist.

Ttowa Korean Bistro truly impressed me. I ordered the Dak Bun and the Ramdon, and both dishes were incredibly delicious, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was excellent from start to finish; everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!
