Hands down one of the best hidden gems in the area.
The moment you walk in, you are greeted, and can pick where you’d like to sit. Atmosphere is smaller and intimate (love) making your experience and conversation personal and special.
I have only had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar, and it NEVER disappoints.
The sushi chef 10/10 talented and able to curate tasteful off-menu creations for myself & sisters, fresh, flavorful, colorful, and work of food art. They have the skill with people and their passion for food.
The staff and waitress Amy; are 10/10 attentive, friendly, and warm without being fake or going overboard.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for top tier hidden gem this is your place. Lunch is fantastic as well.

Talk about above and beyond when it comes to service. No one likes to stay late after a long day, but when you make it in just before close and still get top notch service you know you found a new spot! Thanks to Amie for keeping things real. Make sure you come in before last call and everything will be fine. Dinner and a therapy session doesn’t always happen but you have to appreciate the little things sometimes!
Dennis behind the knife has been doing this more than most have worked in their lives. Since he was 14 he has been creating masterpieces with the sushi. From his family tradition sauce to the presentation with each piece. This sushi restaurant delivers quality rolls and definitely some of the freshest sashimi you could ask for. Thanks for making it feel like dinner with the family and serving some delicious eats. Will for sure be back and enjoying what new creations they come up with next!

Best sushi I’ve had in Parrish! I’m always on the lookout for good sushi nearby family when visiting for the holidays and this spot checks all the boxes. The toro nigiri is solid, and I love their citrus salmon roll and hot green tea. My husband enjoys their Japanese beer selection too. Service is quick and friendly, and there’s convenient free parking right outside. A great neighborhood find!

My boyfriend and I stopped in quickly passing through to go home and it was undoubtably some of the best (according to my boyfriend: THE best) sushi we have had in Florida!! Kelly was the best part- his service and charisma is what made it an excellent experience for us. The orange-carved teddy bear speaks for itself! We will DEFINITELY be making the drive back.

Always on the lookout for new local sushi, I’m glad we tried Tsukino. With snowbird season starting, we’ve been going out midweek when it’s less busy. We prefer sitting at the sushi bar—when the chefs have time to chat, you learn a lot about the menu (and sometimes everything else). This Thursday night, it paid off.
Conveniently located just two minutes from Starbucks by the Ellenton Premium Outlet, Tsukino is easy to find. A few other early diners mentioned it fills up quickly on weekends.
Our sushi chef, Kelly, was enthusiastic about the evening’s specials, and our server, Ivey, was attentive. We even had a quick hello from an owner, Reagan.
If you like trying sushi you don’t often see elsewhere, this is your spot. Tsukino brings in premium items like Otoro (tuna belly), A5 Wagyu, chutoro, yellowtail belly, salmon belly, Japanese uni, and toro kama (tuna collar). These sell out fast—go early!
The complimentary appetizer from the sushi bar was a pleasant surprise: eel with avocado and edamame over rice. I don’t usually care for eel, but this was soft without being chewy. And the fried salmon skin chips—a must-try. Some pieces still had a touch of salmon on them, a little bonus bite.
I also appreciate that they don’t sauce the sweet shrimp heads, keeping them crisp instead of soggy. The roe nigiri was exceptionally fresh, with generous servings literally spilling over the sides. A special roll prepared by Kelly (the name escapes me) was excellent, topped with perfectly marinated onions. The wasabi even had the texture of fresh root.
They offer a nice selection of beer and sake, plus hot dishes that looked and smelled fantastic.
Open for lunch and dinner (closed Sunday and Monday), Tsukino is an inspired choice—whether you’re out for sushi night or taking a break from the outlet shops.
