All for $100 including gst and svc charge. Will be back to try their other dishes.
The humble outset actually masked the exquisite quality of food it produces. Ramen soup (black garlic) gives the likes of Ippudo a run for its money. Sashimi was fresh and sweet. The Kaisen Dons were fresh and delicious.
If you focus on value more than on price, you would be pleasant surprised. Competition around the corner (Sushiro) distracts one looking for good quality Japanese cuisine, but frankly, it’s 2 different selections. They are not substitutes.
Cabbage side dish and miso was free of charge. I must say the cabbage was super delicious.
Cost: SGD 50++ (2 pax inclusive of GST and service charge)
Waiting time: 10 mins, Sunday 7.30pm
Overall: 9/10. Will definitely be back. Just to note that the seating space is quite small but their staff are extremely helpful and enthusiastic
(oh my god the salmon maki was absolutely delicious !!)
Tamago is light and fluffy which I personally likes it.
Recommend.
Pricing is reasonable too

I did enjoy the fresh sashimi — fresh is important, as not all average Japanese restaurants deliver that. The gyoza, unfortunately, was a disappointment. The oil they were fried in tasted like it had been used for over 8 hours and lacked authentic flavour.
Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quick eat-and-run, but don’t expect anything beyond that.
Sashimi was fresh and were all served in thick cuts. We had the kaisendon and tokusen thick cut salmon don
