Tsu offered a dining experience with a lot of great, unique flavors that truly set it apart. The main dishes were incredibly fresh and stood out for their interesting combinations.

A major highlight was the beverage menu: the drinks were absolutely amazing and highly creative. The meal ended on a high note as well; the dessert was also amazing and perfectly capped off the experience.

The only slight disappointment was the texture of the steamed items. The **doughs of the Bao and dumplings were a bit gummy**, which unfortunately missed the mark.

Overall, the freshness and unique profiles of the food and drinks make Tsu a fantastic, worthwhile visit.

Would not go back. This was the third time we have been here. Bar service was terrible, drinks were not good, food was overpriced for the serving size. The food itself is good but nothing spectacular. The ambience is nice and we like the idea of the place but the bar service was so bad we will not be returning.

I haven’t been here in a while, and probably won’t be back for a while. The bartender spent more time flirting with his mate, then serving guests. 2 out of 4 drinks were wrong. The food was good. I think maybe it’s time to clean the back of the coffee machine a few inches from the Bacardi bottle

While not a very traditional sushi place, it still has great food and a nice ambience. Outdoor seating was great at the time and our waitress Ms. Becca was wonderful.

Miso soup was pleasant and filling. The edamame was, well, edamame, but nonetheless a good opener. Avocado salad was a little dry and uninspiring, but the flavor was decent, especially in tandem with the pine nuts.

The star of the appetizers, however, was definitely the yomato’s tofu, which is always my friends and families’ go-to. It’s a little sweet, very crispy on the outside, with the savory taste of bonito flakes and soy wrapping the dish together; it’s very filling and shareable as well, and definitely my biggest suggestion.

We tried the Kamikaze, Metropolitan, and Miami rolls. Of them, the Kamikaze was just fine; however, we enjoyed the Miami rolls and the Metropolitan was our favorite.

The food is decent. The pillowtalk cocktail was amazing if you want something sweet that doesn’t taste like strong liquor. My only real complaint is about the music. When we first walked in, the music was a little loud but not too bad but half an hour in, it sounded like we were having dinner in the middle of a nightclub. No one at the table could hear each other. We ended up taking our dinner to go because it was overall uncomfortable. The server was sweet. I will probably never go back for dinner or recommend this place for dinner.

I’ve been to Tsunami a few times now and this time I came with 2 friends (one who is a regular). When I got the check, I was surprised to see 20% gratuity automatically added on. My friend asked why this is when the policy on the menu states 20% is added for groups of 5 or more and we are only party of 3. The server replied for bills over $200 the tip is automatic.
Has this happen to anyone else? I honestly have never experience this at any establishment before. I asked my other friends who frequent Tsunami and they say they have not experience this. I see another reviewer who also got a 15% tip added to their bill. There is no consistency nor transparency.

We stopped in on a Saturday night for a quick bite and some cocktails. The sushi and ramen we had were very good. The cocktails…the best we have had in Annapolis. The service was great…especially Amelia. She stopped over to chat/check in with us and was a total delight, she made us feel very welcome. Tsunami is now our favorite in Annapolis.

I have been to Tsunami (not sure why they decided to mess with the name) for 15 years – it used to be kind of a Manhatten vibe in NapTown.

We went for some late night sushi and drinks tonight and were annoyed as heck by the guitar, grungy music scene. It’s hard to enjoy a nice roll with that garbage music playing. Sorry but very frustrating, we love the sushi and have been there for so many great occasions. Let’s get the cool metro vibe back!

Duck legs used to be amazing. Now it’s a skimpy single leg and very salty. The miso soup is also now disgustingly salty. The TSU name change must mean tons of salt used. Once our favorite restaurant. The drinks still cool but we won’t be back.
