Having been here many many times, I continually enjoy the authentic northern China seafood and other dishes that this restaurant makes. Their seafood is mostly pan-Yello Sea style, that of Qingdao and Dalian. The dumolings here are also great, honemade with thicker skins than usual. Service is fine, food arrives pretty fast. The facility is a bit run down, but that doesn’t destract the tasty food they offer here.

One dish 韭菜炒海肠 charged $47, food mismatch with picture on menu too much. Menu picture is very misleading. (I realized I need to take photo after eating half way, but 海肠 is little % as photo shows). Horrible service and bad attitude to customer.

Initially, I was a bit worried after seeing its Google review score, but this restaurant is totally underrated. The food here deserves a much higher rating. I’m from Qingdao, and it’s truly rare to find such authentic hometown cuisine here. Their “lu bao” (crispy stuffed buns), dumplings, and steamed buns are all delicious, and the seafood dishes are prepared in a very authentic style. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, changing our plates multiple times so we always had clean plates for the new dishes.

I strongly recommend mackerel dumpling!! So yummy and juicy and tasty！ My partner who grew up in Shandong province said this is absolutely his hometown flavor!

Dinner: dried tofu skin fried with peppers, sauteed kidney, deep fried boneless pork rib with rainbow pepper salt, hog maw with cilantro, stir fried clams, stewed chicken and mushroom with transparent bean noodle. Dim Sum: Shredded beef burger. Bao zi. The chef is a great master of northern style Chinese cooking, rich flavors yet light. Amazing.

After a couple owner changes, the newest owners seem to have figured out weekend brunch. Service was quick, courteous, and efficient. Food was good. Soup dumplings were tasty and soupy (in a good way!) and had no holes in the skin. Each dish was about a dollar more than the others in suburban NJ though, so minus a star. Oddly few people for Sunday lunch though.

Went here recently for a private Chinese New Year dinner and the food of the 12 courses delicious. The proprietor and staff were wonderful. Still, this was a more unique dinner than what’s served up there, respectively.
