I dreamed of their drunken noodles because of my first visit, and the second visit didn’t disappoint. Perfect level of heat and rich in flavor, perfect texture. Apps are a meal into themselves. The red curry is simply delicious. Most meals are easily made vegetarian (a great Friday option for me!), and there are plenty of gf options for my daughter. Also, these fine people have managed to take an industrial space and decorate it charmingly, a lovely restaurant quickly becoming a ,”go-to” for dates, anniversaries, etc. Try Thai’s take out seems to be a good portion of their business as well, and with good reason. In an area devoid of Asian cuisine, Try Thai not only fills a gap, it’s leveled up from every day dining, yet relaxed and comfortable, with highest quality ingredients and offerings. The owners and wait staff are friendly, gregarious people who go the extra mile, even when you are the last people of the day to sit. Our waitress heard it was my birthday and even put a candle on my dessert, thank you for that! Easy parking with front and rear entrances, Try Thai is a gem on historic, picturesque Main St in Front Royal.

Spacious and lovely decorated Thai restaurant. All the dishes were tasty. Portion size was a bit smaller than expected though.

Try Thai is a gem I’ve visited multiple times, and it never disappoints. Even better, they were open for breakfast on a morning when Front Royal was blanketed in half a foot of snow ❄️—a stellar opportunity to enjoy great food without needing to drive if you live near the center of town
The Thai omelet with crab chunks was a satisfying way to kick off the day in this winter wonderland. Paired with a creamy Thai iced coffee, the meal was both hearty and refreshing, offering the perfect balance for a snowy morning. The omelet was golden and fluffy, with generous pieces of crab tucked inside, providing bursts of flavor that truly shined
Try Thai’s relaxing atmosphere added to the experience. With its serene decor and cozy seating, it was an inviting space to enjoy breakfast while watching the snowy world outside. If you’re looking for a spot that combines great food, convenience, and a calming ambiance, Try Thai is an absolute must-visit!

We visited Try Thai located in Front Royal Virginia. This restaurant has changed ownership since we last visited and the food is quite different. I had my favorite Thai dish, which I used to frequently have at this restaurant under the previous owners. This dish is basil fried rice with a fried egg on top with an appetizer of chicken satay.
To start off the chicken satay was absolutely wonderful and exactly the same as it has always been.
The basil fried rice however, had a different texture to it than any other Thai restaurant that I’ve been to. Do you know those bags of instant rice that you get where the rice is kind of squishy? That’s what the rice was like, unlike traditionally being fried rice even though it’s a fried rice dish. This uniqueness really made the dishes texture rather unpleasant even though the taste and spice was fairly tasty.
The staff is very friendly and responsive.
This section of Front Royal is typically LGBTQ friendly and this restaurant is no exception. The single person bathrooms are clean and feature locking doors.

Great location. The selection of food is much better since the last time I have been there. The restaurant has improved a lot since they first opened because the menu used to be quite limited. Since my first review, the food quality has increased as well as the service and menu. The large appetizer selection is sure to have something that everyone would like and the soups are very good. Sushi could use a little bit more love, but the restaurant has improved a lot overall and I would most certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice sit-down and casual dinner. Good job Try Thai! My waiter Chet was one of the best waiters I have ever had in my life. Exceptional dining service.

Wow! We were driving home from Tennessee back to NJ and decided to stop for our wedding anniversary dinner. For 11 years we have stopped almost every year at various Thai places. This one ranks up at the top! My husband got the Duck & I got Beef and Shrimp Pad Thai. For apps we got spicy calamari and dumplings. Highly recommend stopping here! Service was top notch, including recommendations on what to order for food and drinks.

Ambience was nice, the place felt open and not too crowded.
Overall was just alright. Among the dishes we tried, Drunken noodles was very tasty.
Papaya salad didn’t feel it was freshly made to the order.
‘Cashew nuts’ from their main dishes tasted very flat very low on flavor.
Thai ice tea though was nice, the right amount of sweet and tea.
Service needs improvement. The person who took our order seemed very uninterested to answer our questions. Attitude was off putting.

Such a cute restaurant with beautiful decor. There’s some street parking. We came here around 7 pm on a Friday evening and the staff was very friendly!
We ordered some drinks, the Melon Margarita and the Vodka Thai Basil Smash. The Thai Basil Smash rated just like a lemonade and the Melon Margarita was very flavorful. We didn’t try it but you can get beer towers here too which I thought was cool.
For our appetizer, we tried the Try Thai Platter. Everything on there was so good. We loved the Chicken Satay and the Pot Stickers.
For dinner, we ordered the Crispy Duckling and a combination Pad Thai with beef, chicken and shrimp. Both are delicious. Service and food were quick.
They also had a projector playing cartoons. I loved the atmosphere and definitely recommend!
