I used to eat here quite frequently, but recent reviews turned me off…I ordered bean curd with mixed veg and the bean curd is so hard I can’t eat it….it should be soft. My sauce has a chalky taste as well. I’m glad I got fried rice so I have something to eat versus going back out again.

My wife ordered dinner because she was looking forward to General Tso shrimp NOT SPICY. When i got home with our order the shrimp was so spicy she had hard time even calling them back to complain. She wanted someone to bring her a new one that was not spicy but they refused to make this right with her dinner. Now she has no chinese food for dinner and they just said they will credit it back. Well that is nice but it does not give her dinner. This is the 3rd time with this complaint. We may have to change businesses to someone who wants to go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy.

Son and I wanted some chinese for dinner, but wanted to try a new place. We Googled chinese near me and we saw True Taste. Gave them a called asked it they delivered, which they do. I ordered, sweet n sour shrimp, appetizers for 2, egg rolls, General Taos chicken and upgraded 1 fried rice to a shrimp fried rice. Our normal place is always at least an 1hr to 1.25hrs, so I was very surprised when the doorbell rang in about 30mins. Opened everything up and was pleased with everything. 1st there sns shrimp is a little different, instead of a large shrimp, they were little individual ones, which I liked the sides. Was a little disappointed that there was no pineapple or cherry in the SNS sauce.. I thought the chicken wings were top notch in the appetizers. Nice and crispy with that little curry taste. The General Taos chicken was really tasty and had some nice broccoli on the side. Overall I was very happy with everything and my whole experience, maybe the guy answering the phone could have been a little chipper, but I might have a new Chinese place!

Got sweet and sour chicken. Less than half of the pieces actually had chicken in them… They tasted good, just not enough meat for the price you pay. I also got cream cheese wontons and again half of which had no filling at all. Won’t buy food here again, not until something changes…

Got delivery, no price, and ne receipt on delivery, and it was 50 bucks! We love this place but 50 dollars for this is crazy! We will explore other options! Update everything was so spicy, and made everyone sick! Sadly after years of ordering from here we will not! Things have changed so much!

The food is always great here…I moved from the area and came back and could not wait to order from here…however if you order and its delivered to your work I would think I would get a spoon for my soup…..no mustard, no duck sauce, no soy sauce…i always shake my head at the amount of sauces like that that you get….I have never received none….

My first observation was that the counter, floor, and aquarium were all filthy. There was dirt, debris, and dead bugs on the floor. I felt badly for the fish swimming in murky water. When I questioned the price of the Vegetable Delight, I was told I was looking at the lunch menu. Sure enough, in the top left corner was ‘lunch’. Yes, I should have looked more closely instead of jumping directly to the entrees. Prior to opening for dinner, the gentleman might have flipped his stack of lunch/dinner menus (as they were different sizes) and perhaps taken some paper towels, a broom, dustpan, and mop and cleaned a bit. I know, the menu thing isn’t a big deal. Food is take-out only. The Vegetable Delight was very good. The fried rice was tasteless. If it weren’t for the lack of cleanliness, I would return. However, I fear what the kitchen looks like.

This restaurant has the best hit and sour soup in the Richmond metro area, IMO. Unfortunately, it does not have dine in service anymore, contrary to what Google indicates, and I was counting in eating in as I do not live in the area.

Ordered for delivery. The gentleman was nice and the delivery from the time I ordered was fairly quick. The food was ok. I wasn’t highly impressed but I wasn’t fully disappointed. The food wasn’t greatly seasoned. The fried rice didn’t have much flavor to it. The shrimp tasted fresh and the broccoli was seasoned perfectly with garlic butter. What disappointed me, is while I was checking the food to make sure order was correct, the guy asked for a tip. I had the tip in hand, but his attitude while I was checking to make sure my order was correct, killed it for me.
