We ended up here because the popular food truck, Braddah Hut’s, was closed.

LOCATION:
Koki Beach. Look for the small hut with the neon “open” sign.

ATMOSPHERE:
The open-air hut has a gravel/dirt floor. The food is served out of hot trays on one side with table seating for about 15 on the other side, along with a separate gazebo off to the side which can seat about 6 comfortably. The ambiance is very relaxing and peaceful. Very clean and no insect problem.

MENU:
Chicken, pork, shrimp, fish.

FOOD:
BBQ Pork
The tender pork wasn’t seasoned much and relied mainly on the drizzled-over BBQ sauce for flavor, something I’m not a fan of. I like barbecued meats that are marinated. The single scoop of rice was a little mushy which is better than dried out, and the macaroni-pea salad was a bit thin and runny; not the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst either.

SERVICE:
The owner, Troy, was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. He was serving and cashing. Ditto for the the lady working with him who I’m assuming was his wife.

TIP:
Cash only.

OVERALL:
Decent food, good portion sizes, nice ambiance, great service.

If I could I would give this place 6 stars. Don’t let the low key look deceive you, if you are a foodie then this is 100% a must do. It’s important to note that Troy’s only opens on Wednesday and Thursday. We were lucky enough to eat here Wednesday, and the families verdict was unanimous, we were coming back again on Wednesday. The second lunch did not disappoint, in fact it was possibly even better than the day before.

Once you’ve shed your tears of love for the food, make sure to take the time and engage with Diane and Troy, they’re awesome folk and were the cherry on top of the whole experience!

Absolutely delicious. Troy’s was closing as we arrived, but luckily they still received us. Super friendly and incredibly tasty food! We got the fish tacos and the Korean Chicken and both were glorious. Do not miss this place if you’re in Hana.

If you’re visiting Hana you NEED to eat here! After a long curvy worvy drive to the town we were hungry for lunch and were very pleased to find this eatery. As you near Hana you will find their bright yellow signs pointing you along the way.

Troy’s is nestled among a lot of other eateries. Plenty of parking and places to take a seat. They offer a variety of local food options and everything is sourced from the island. Super fresh. Very filling. Delicious and flavorful!

The owner’s are very sweet and if you have any questions they are happy to help and give tips about Hana.

Come here to eat and I gurantee you will not be disappointed. Chicken katsu and stuffed ono were offered with white or brown rice and greens with vinaigrette or macaroni salad! We devoured it all. Plates had no speck of food leftover!

I’d definitely come eat here again if I’m ever in Hana! Thank you.

This place has some amazing food and definitely super fresh! Curry sauce was AMAZING, both for dipping and with the rice! The guys there are also super friendly. As you can tell from my picture, they sell out of some items, and I can totally see why. Highly recommend!!

Troy’s is a perfect spot to eat on the Road to Hana! The service was excellent and the food was even better. There is a cute shaded picnic area to sit and enjoy your food.

We had the Hana style fish & chips and the chicken katsu and couldn’t decide which one we liked the best! Troy’s is only open 2 days a week so be sure to check the hours so you can be sure to fit this delicious stop into your trip!

Great plate lunch! We were a little late so he ran out of Korean BBQ chicken but the chicken katsu plate did not disappoint. Great brown rice and mac salad. The katsu was on point and sauce was a perfect topper for it. Great friendly service and a beautiful spot to sit in Hana.

Staff was friendly and got the food out quick! Fish was slightly overdone but the flavor was amazing. Tartar sauce was a wonderful compliment to the fish.
