Owner was our server. There was 3 other couples there, one couple the lady asked for something and the owner walked away rolling her yes with a kurt “ok”…. I ordered an omelet with cheese that was RUNNY….
Owner (our server) immediately became unkind and icy when I asked for my omelet to actually be cooked. Saying it was “just the cheese” …. see pic… the eggs WERE NOT COOKED… …then handed us over to the cook to take care of our table.
The kids’ scrambled eggs were not scrambled, and twice i had to get up to seek assistance for our table (refill and to go boxes).
Didn’t help that the prices are really very steep for what we got…. taste of food was eh… Paid almost 70 bucks for 4 ppl to eat!?! I questioned and was told “you can read” when i asked why the combos were not applied….
Then paid almost $3 just for using our card….. not a good experience….
I dont know how they got 99 % food rating.
Then the owner goes online complaining about others saying negative things LIKE A CHILD. Well, those people were 100% correct, lady!!! Absolutely a dosgrace for Troutman!

As much as I appreciate that this place is lowkey, they certainly deserve the recognition.
Sit where you want; the staff knows you’re there and will get right to you. We chose a table near a window, much to our liking. It was surprisingly not too busy for a late Sunday morning.
They have a sizable breakfast menu. Our food came quick and we were served together; you’d be surprised how many places don’t understand this basic concept. I appreciate that they know how to time orders to come out simultaneously.
Breakfast was breakfast, though their home fries are pretty good. I’ll have to order them for myself next time.
One thing that threw me off was our waitress asking if we’d like to leave a tip, and what amount. I understand the way they currently utilize Square POS may require the amount entry upon payment, but it was just awkward and an unpleasant interaction. There is a way that you can set it up to have a separate tipping screen upon signature collection.
Despite me having more to say about that than anything else, our overall experience was a good one. We will have to come back another time.

I ordered my food and coffee to go, and Julie, Jane, and Kim were all incredibly kind and accommodating. I had just gotten off the phone with another local restaurant where the experience wasn’t nearly as friendly, so the difference truly stood out. I really appreciated the thought and attention to detail they put into my order. It only took a few minutes of their day, but it made the start of my day a great one. I hope these lovely ladies see this and know just how amazing they are—my apologies if I got anyone’s name wrong!

I’d give them 3 stars for being friendly and quick. But the food was the problem. They brought out the kids meals first. My one son’s hotdog was burned beyond belief. Like if you touched it the skin would flake off. The cook and the waitress should have been embarrassed to serve that. My sandwich was made with a tomato end piece, which is weird. The chicken tenders were also terrible. The service is great but our food was not. They did bring out another hotdog for my son.

While driving through on a long road trip, we chose to stop and have a late breakfast. This cafe was busy, but everyone working here was helping to make sure orders got out in a timely fashion. At various times I saw the cooks and the bus-lady grab orders from the window and take them to their tables. The food was delicious and HOT. This café was also unbelievably clean and organized. As a food service worker myself, I would have loved to take this whole staff home with me and have them as coworkers! I’d give this place 100 stars if I could just due to the cleanliness, hospitality, and teamwork.

I had the opportunity to try their western omelette; lord almighty I can’t even begin to describe the sweet love I made to it. After years working in the culinary field, let me tell you, the caramelization of the egg created a delicious crunch that held in every bit of the meat and vegetables sweat. In over a decade, that was the third omelette I’ve had that made my mouth water between each and every bite, (I didn’t even get the opportunity to eat it fresh and that’s how I know it’s quality.)

Food was so delicious and somehow the service from Sheila and Gina was even better.
This is a perfect establishment to bring a love one and have a warm meal to be greeting with a whole team of smiles.

They make you feel like family. Food is really good – we especially love the biscuits and gravy and the southern style steak. We go two or three times a week. You won’t be sorry you tried them.

Classic diner setting with quick food that is served with a smile, hot coffee, and the best gravy I’ve ever tasted. I’m normally not a huge fan of gravy but theirs is outstanding. Our meals were large and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
