The food is always great here. Always good flavor and fresh. For being out in the country the seafood options are just as good as you could get just about anywhere else. Burgers are juicy and flavorful. Perfect spot for wing night! Some of the best wing flavors around! They have some of the best specials and event nights in the area! Definitely worth checking out!

Great little local place. Long hat, pool tables, convenient location. Well, a little hard to find to be honest. The bar tender was also the waitress. She was a hard worker! The food was sooooo good! Fresh, hot and super tasty. Loved it! It was a little chilly inside .. and that’s probably because it was 5 degrees outside. But we’ll be back in the summer when it’s warmer, in the jeep. Support your local business!

Been there several times for food and beers. Went there once for the AYCE crab legs and shrimp. The first time it took 45min to get served the 1st plate of food. Then i was asked if i want a refill. We’ll of course it’s ayce. Took a hour for the second plate. That’s when i said the hell with it. Paid bill and left. I always like to give a second try so i went again a few weeks later. This time the food was delivered in a timely fashion. Crab legs were good. Shrimp had the texture of baby food. Not overly big deal. Went back a3rd time and every thing was really good. Now i went neck this past weekend for the surf and turf along with friends and family. 3 of us orders rib eye steaks and 1 of us ordered aNY strip. I got 1 of the rib eyes supposedly except it wasn’t a rib eye it was a new York strip.i brought it up to the waiter and she went and got the cook. The cook told me that it was a rib eye and it just looked different than what i was used to. I didn’t want to ruin every one’s evening so i left it go. How ever i buy steers every year. I’ve cooked a lot of steaks for various people. I know what the different cuts of meat are. That cook did not. That steak was also that tough i couldn’t finish it. The seafood was good. The waitress tried to make it right but it wasn’t her fault. The other people at my table got what they asked for and the steaks were cooked to our liking the way we ordered them. The guy that ordered the ny strip got my rib eye. There were 3 rib eyes laying on the table and 1ny. You could clearly see the difference. They gave me my friends ny and gave him my rib eye. But the cook couldn’t see that. I did go there fir a wing night and that was good as well.

Second visit. This time for food. It was good. Nice variety on tap and large menu to choose from. Prices are right, and I feel like my money was well spent. Porch for before or after dinner is a bonus. I drove over an hour to visit here, so don’t hesitate to stop if you are driving by.

Had a great first visit to the hotel. We had an enjoyable meal in the bar including shrimp and a cheeseburger bacon wrap. They were excellent. Easy on and off Rt 15 with a quiet end of the road location. There’s a dining room we will try next. Wait staff were quick, kind, and efficient.

2025 update, Trout Run is so good, that it is part of my annual visit. The food is great, and the owners take great care of the place. It is very clean, there is not a speck of dust on anything. The staff are very friendly and they know their regular customers. If I lived in the area, Trout Run would be like Cheers for me, because not only would they know my name, they would be glad I came. So, to anyone reading this review, make Trout Run Hotel your must stop spot.
2024 update, Trout Run still rocks. The Ranch Pickle pizza now comes in personal size. God bless this place.

My favorite guilty pleasure is their ranch pizza with pickles; it is a surprisingly tasty treat. Try it. You will love it.

Everything you’d expect in a small-town restaurant – great decor, decent prices, good food, fantastic service. Ate here with a small group, each of us enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Plenty of easy parking. Just a cool little place! Check it out when you can!

A really nice bar up in the mountains but easy enough to get to right off of the highway. The bar food is great with daily specials. Really good burgers too and cold beer! Nice rustic atmosphere and bar is awesome with the fish carved into it. Definitely worth a stop if passing through…
