Had dinner here with my family a few weeks ago. For my son and I the food was not so great. I got this stuffed fish but look at the presentation and the food was just meh. I didn’t finish it. My son ordered spaghetti and this is what he received, a plate of noodles. We were all surprised bc typically when you see spaghetti on the menu it’s with tomato sauce and meat. This was just noodles. We felt like maybe the server could have said something to ensure we knew it was just noodles, no sauce, no meat. I don’t believe I’ve ever been to a restaurant where the term “spaghetti” is just noodles and these weren’t even spaghetti noodles. More like a fettuccine pasta. Anyway needless to say we were not pleased with our food. The rest of the guests thought their entrees were okay. Not bad. The server was very slow though. I think he was probably the only one working as it was a Saturday evening. I’m not sure how popular that place is on a typical Saturday. But it wasn’t super busy and he was older. So I presume that’s to be expected. Anyway for my son and I we won’t be returning. The service and quality of the food overall wasn’t anything to write home about. However, my family did enjoy the atmosphere quiet and nice and our quality time together overall. So that was priceless.

We are from OOT but stopped by to eat dinner based on the reviews of Trotter’s salad bar. It did indeed have a pretty great selections of choices, and the bar was very clean and organized. Since that was our choice of dinner, we didn’t enjoy any of the many entrees on the menu, but they looked varied and good. The service was extremely attentive as well. The only other thing I might suggest is an additional soup selection nightly (their chili that evening was EXTREMELY spicy, and while I can eat some spicy things, I could not eat their chili!), and include perhaps a dessert or two on the bar such as pudding or fruit salad.

Fried chicken was really good but wife was not happy with her steak. Sides were meh. No side salad… Gotta pay an extra $15 to get the salad bar. Overall, spent $80 for dinner for 2 without any drinks. Not a real good value. We had never been here but at least we can say we gave it a go.

I’ve come here quite a few times for the fried chicken. They serve you half a chicken; leg, thigh, breast, wing. So that’s quite plenty. I also get mashed potatoes and collards. Potatoes are perfect and the collards are a little sweeter than I prefer. I also finally came here for their breakfast buffet. Everything was yummy. And they had quite a variety and even a omelet station. The only complaint I have was some of the eggs had egg shells in it. One piece was so thick and hard it cut the inside of my mother’s mouth. But it might have just been an off day. Either way I like this place and we’ll continue dining here.

Too bad I can’t leave 10 stars… Without a doubt, the best food in West Ashley! Celebrated Thanksgiving day lunch with them this year and what a treat… Couldn’t have been better!
Glad to see that they are now serving breakfast and lunch daily, with a nice brunch for Sunday.
P.S.: They have the best Fried Chicken in the Lowcountry! The homemade salads are also to die for.

My family visited this establishment while we stayed at the attached hotel.
The staff was very friendly to my family, they greeted us and came to our table promptly. The tables and floors were clean throughout, there were no bad smells on the smell of good food.
Having a small child, I can say this was also one of the few times a restaurant brought a clean high chair for our toddler (very much appreciated).
We had the buffet on Saturday and regular breakfast on Monday, we will be back!

Apparently they dont get that hashbrown are supposed to be brown because they’re crisp.These weren’t. Cornbeef hash is supposed to be cooked, not looking like Kenelration( look it up). I drove from Moncks Corner out of nostalgia for this meal. $55 for two people and I was unhappy.

Trotters is truly a hidden gem. It’s a great place to have dinner with your family and actually be able to hear each other talk. Anthony is our favorite waiter. He has been there for years and takes great care of us. The owner Jimmy is often there as well. The food here is DELICIOUS. Because it’s inside of The Town and Country Inn they have a very wide selection of items on the menu. This works for our family when we can’t decide what we want . There is something here for everyone. I have never had a bad meal here. The fried chicken is the best in town. I also love their fried flounder. I highly recommend checking them out.

If you remember the Trotters breakfast buffet from the past you will be very disappointed with the present buffer. Much less variety and lower quality now. Only sausage links, no patties or bacon….Only canned fruit not fresh…corned beef hash strait from the can, cold hash browns…dry, tough french toast. This place has really gone down hill.
