I had a really good experience at Sugo Pasta. It’s a spacious restaurant with high-quality food. I tried their Fettuccine with spicy pork and cheese, which was good, and one of their specials—the mushroom ravioli in a truffle butter sauce—which had an insanely good flavour. The Americano was quite good, and the tiramisu was an absolute game changer. It was probably one of the best tiramisus I’ve had in a long time, and it’s definitely a must-try.

The service was welcoming and comforting, and they made sure everything went well after the meal.

The pasta here were superb, and the staff were very friendly. The only thing that makes me hesitate about returning was the level of noise because restaurant was full.
Despite the restaurant being full, we received our order quickly.
The portions were enough to satisfy hunger.
After ordering desserts, it took us a while to finish them as we were already overeating, but we couldn’t stop eating this delicious treat.

I want to return another a quieter day because the menu is very extensive for pasta lovers

Even with such a concise menu it was difficult to choose what to have! Everything sounded amazing and tasted even better. Our server, Luca was a delight and made sure all our cheese needs were met!
Would recommend 100%

Just adding to the already Hugh volume of high reviews. Great atmosphere X friendly staff

Fresh pasta made in front of your eyes at an extremely good price. Couldn’t he happier. The beef Ragu was to die for and they have a good selection of weekly specials

Great flavour, we’d definitely come back again! Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

We chose the specials of the day. First was the duck confit tagliatelle with tomato sauce – the duck was tender and perfectly spiced, and baby tomatoes were delicate, juicy, and didn’t overwhelm the duck.

We also got the hake ravioli with langoustine bisque, served with a crisp pieces of samphire. The bisque was rich and fragrant, and the hake inside the ravioli was fresh and delicious.

Both dishes were outstanding with unique and memorable flavours.

One criticism: both pastas were undercooked beyond al dente. The ravioli was a bit crunchy in places, and while the tagliatelle was fine, it leaned towards chewy. That said, we still enjoyed every bite, which says a lot about the quality of the flavours, truly special.

We finished with the tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious – one of the best we’ve ever had. Prices were reasonable, and even though it was busy, we were seated quickly. Sitting near the open kitchen was a lovely touch, great to watch the chefs at work.

Overall, a fantastic experience with creative, high-quality food. (Though I might recommend requesting a softer pasta.) Highly recommend!

Up in Glasgow for one night for a work trip and decided to drop in to see if i could get a table. Very friendly and welcoming. Short wait and a bar to grab a drink at whilst waiting for your table. Food was delicious and came out very quickly and is very reasonably priced. I had the Spaghetti with guanciale; pecorino, egg yolk and black pepper as a main. Highly recommend eating here if you are in Glasgow.

I had 3 people recommend this place to me so I was disappointed when I ate the pasta as it was quite mediocre. I got the (5.) Pappardelle with slow cooked beef ragu, my friend got the (4.) Tagliatelle with mushrooms in brown butter with fresh sage and Grana Padano cheese (she said she didn’t like it) and we shared the White sour dough bread with EVOO. Nothing really stood out to me, and the sour dough tasted particularly dry and hard. It’s a shame because the place was packed when we went (we were told to come back in around 25mins and we still had to wait another 10 minutes on top of that) so my expectations were high, it was close to Christmas though so that probably explains why.

Incredible restaurant. The food was amazing but I would only recommend it if you like pasta otherwise it’s probably not for you. We waited about 30 minutes for a table which was fine because there is a bar and a few seats. The food was great and very quick.

Very good pasta, but with a little downside. We had to wait 25min for a table (Saturday at 5pm, you can not reserve beforehand), but when we left, the queue more than doubled. Food arrived quickly, tasted very good but came in rather smaller portions. Service is friendly. It’s very loud inside though. The tiramisu was great!

There are always line ups out the door for this place and they don’t take reservations. Always super busy so we decided to come at 3 pm on a Saturday. They told us 49 min wait but we only waited about 30 mins. There are a lot of people inside and they seat two groups at the bigger tables so it does get a little squishy. It is also VERY loud. Kinda hard to talk and hear each other. But they serve the food so fast and there’s a super quick rotation.
We got the #4, #7, #8. All were delicious and al dente which was nice! And you can see everything get made right in front of you! All the pastas tasted incredible and I would definitely go back to try different ones.
The only thing is it seemed like everything was a money grab. You get charged (on certain dishes) to add cheese, you get charged for sauce on ice cream (vanilla ice cream is already £4!). The only thing on the menu really is pasta. Was expecting some kind of starters but they only have a few side dishes which are really expensive for what they are. Now I know the place is a pasta place, and they do the pasta well, it just felt like I needed a little more. One small plate of pasta was good but complimentary bread or some starter plates on the menu would have been nice. But if you’re just looking for a little plate of pasta, would def recommend.
But I don’t think this is a good place for like a gathering, or bday party, or first date- it’s just too loud, you can’t reserve tables, and people are sat at your table.
