Troquet is an excellent restaurant with an extensive, fantastic wine list. The owner/sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Also very unpretentious. Food was excellent although chicken I had was just a bit under seasoned and a tad bony. Bread was spectacular. Service was also just fantastic in a nice, warm atmosphere. HIGHLy recommend for those who love food and wine. Great for special occasions. Found prices to be very reasonable for Boston as well.

We stopped by Troquet for lunch on a quiet Thursday afternoon and had a fantastic experience. Their cocktail and beer selections were excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious—definitely a place we’ll revisit soon. Although our meals took longer than expected, our waiter thoughtfully explained the delay was due to a large group’s order being placed simultaneously, which we really appreciated. Just a heads up, street parking is limited, so you may have to use a nearby garage. I’d highly recommend Troquet if you’re in the area!

Went there to celebrate my lovely wife’s birthday. We opted for 7 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious. And my god the butter they served with bread was delicious. I need to know the brand. Oh the bread was amazing too. Would’ve asked for more if I weren’t so stuffed. Great staff too. All lovely folks. Thanks for making the day special for us.

Very much enjoyed the dinner at Troquet on South. The restaurant is a short walk from South Station. The bluefish pate was marvelous as were the crab spaghetti and duck. I was interested in the 7-course chef selection, but the server wouldn’t tell me the names of the dishes, just that they would be whatever the chef felt like serving that day and that the dishes change frequently. I don’t if the server just didn’t know what was on the menu that day or if he just didn’t want to find out. But in the end, I just picked my own dishes. The ladies who came by my table were absolutely lovely and helpful. They checked on whether I liked my dishes. The hostess was wonderful. The service bobble was with my waiter. I sat at my table for a while and had to wave to get attention to get an order in. The complimentary bread is excellent. I’ll be back.

Fantastic 5 course tasting menu of oyster amuse, salmon tartare, escargot, foie gras, duck, and chocolate cake for dessert. Glass of the house cava to start and the somm helped us with a great half bottle from the northern Rhône. Im a sucker for a cheese cart and added that to our dinner. The bread rolls and butter are amazing; they ship the butter from France. Stand outs were the salmon tartare and foie gras.

Really great service from the whole team and a fun dining experience.

Another great meal at this restaurant. Food is impeccable, service is friendly and thorough. Tsega (spelling?) our server was delightful and Olga, the host, does a great job of making everybody in the room feel seen and welcomed.

Classic French cuisine experience with stellar food and service.

Took a visit a few weeks ago to try their regular a la carte menu. We came in on a Friday night, and the place was quite empty. Our initial expectations were thus low, but the overall experience was very satisfying.

Before the appetizers, we were served with warm focaccia bread and a spoonful of French butter from a huge bucket. The housemate butter was inexplicably light and the focaccia bread was surely the best I’ve had in my recent memory. For the appetizers, we had the fluke crudo, salmon crudo, and the housemate ricotta, and our favorite was the ricotta. It not only came with a dazzling presentation but also the interplay between the ricotta, olive, and root vegetable chips was light and delightful. On the other hand, the highly-complimented seared foie gras was just okay. Champagne mango panda cotta did boost its umami, but there wasn’t anything special.

All the entrées we ordered were flawless: rack of lamb, duck two ways, an rye-crusted scallops were all cooked to perfection. My favorite was the scallop which had seemingly simple toppings. Mélange of morcilla, pomegranate, and delicate squash resulted in sweet, savory, umami-rich bites, and I kept going back for more.

For desserts, we had the vanilla crème brûlée and the dark chocolate soufflé, and they were both fairly basic. Yet, the overall experience was definitely more enjoyable than I expected, and I would highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for high-end classic French cuisines.

My homegirl and I got cooked and ate well on a Friday night. Excellent service, excellent eats, excellent craft cocktails. Shoutout to Tony, the chief barman. He made it a 10/10. Would consent to continue living on this side of the dirt to experience again.

The atmosphere there is good. Nice and clean. However, put 3 because the food options are not a lot for lunch at least. And the food is normal or ok for the burgers . However, the steak frites tasted really bad, it is over cooked while we asked for medium well. Also I could taste like ash from it. Not good and will not recommend. Chips with dip.. I felt like it is chips I could buy in supermarket, not worth the price either. Only thing worth to try is Steak tartare, it is interesting and tastes good. Took another ⭐️ off because the oysters are not super fresh either. So I will not go to this restaurant again personally. Good luck..
