Don’t let the low prices fool you into trying this food. It’s cheap for a reason. The meat is low quality with little to no taste. And the place is unsanitary. The woman making my food paused her cooking to take my payment. I paid with cash and she kept her food-handling gloves on, with bits and scraps of food on them, and handed me five dirty bills. She then went back to handling the food. I found that to be completely disgusting. Makes you wonder what other unsanitary practices they have there. If you eat this food you risk getting sick.

Went here on a whim while walking around. Delicious food. The reviews that say it’s like home cooking are absolutely right. Kids had a chicken quesadilla and beef burrito. Large portions and delicious. We tried various tacos (chicken, shrimp, Barbacoa etc). All were tasty. The nachos with beans and cheese were really good too. Will definitely be back. I would recommend however that they keep the bathroom stocked with paper towels and check on it throughout the day for cleanliness. And gloves for the people cooking. Otherwise we had a great meal and the people were really nice.

My husband and I decided to try Tropico for the first time after seeing it had great reviews. If I could rate this meal 0/5, I would. We ordered asada nachos- all of the chips were broken and burnt which caused the dish itself to taste terrible. I ordered a steak quesadilla which was supposed to have onion, cheese, and cilantro inside; I opened it up and all it had was steak and lettuce with a small bit of sour cream…no cheese. My husband’s tacos luckily weren’t missing ingredients, but lacked flavor. Will not be returning.

Got an excellent burrito there! Very reasonable prices, and great staff! They also did a great job with the take out, and secured my burrito very well so that it did not get shaken up when I walked home with it. Will visit again!
