I’ve been to other tropical smoothies and they’ve added the Greek yogurt to a smoothie for me. I was told at this location I could not. I was asking to be CHARGED for it. The girl that helped me was Kensley H. We overheard her ask another girl AFTER she cashed me out and started the smoothie. The girl that she asked said they could do it. Didn’t offer to remake my smoothie or anything. Very poor customer service skills. Will not be going back to this location.

Came into the tropical smoothie Cafe at 5429 Northland Dr NE Ste E, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. I would give store # but there is not one. Below will be copy of receipt. Anyway, went in for my birthday smoothie. When arrived I was told that I had to download app, did. Then filled out all information. Was told that the only why for them to give me birthday smoothie was to pull up QRC code and had to buy something too, to get free smoothie. No were on email states you have to buy something to get smoothie. So in whole, not very happy at all!

Got a smoothie through drive-through and it was blended amazingly. Jenna is the bomb very outspoken. Definitely recommend getting your drink here:) The only bummer is that the Drink prices have risen, but that’s nothing the coworkers have control over.

I have only been to this business one time however it did not leave an impression on me. The smoothies my friend and I got tasted nothing like what we ordered and the prices were rather High. We were only ones in there at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon the place was very plain and the atmosphere and Ambience was cold feeling.

This is the second time an order showed up missing smoothies, this time all of them. One item was ordered without tomato or lettuce, arrived with both. The turkey club was inedible, hardly any meat and the vegetables looked disgusting. They didn’t put peanut butter in a peanut butter sandwich, but it did have lettuce. Nobody in my family got all of what they ordered. Literally every single item the store prepared was the worst quality I’ve ever been served from any restaurant, ever. The chips were the one single item that arrived correctly.

I’ve had consistently poor experiences at this location, both inside and at the drive-thru. The staff is consistently rude and unwelcoming, making it feel like customers are an inconvenience rather than valued guests.
Most recently, I went through the drive-thru and was met with very short, dismissive communication. When I chose not to leave a tip, I received an eye roll from the employee, and after I politely thanked them for the food, the window was slammed shut without a word.
This level of service is unacceptable, especially when it happens repeatedly. I hope management takes steps to address the attitude and professionalism of the staff at this location.

I sat there for five minutes and no one greeted me although there was three people working and no one in the drive thru, so I had to leave because no one took my smoothie order.

Food is already kinda pricey, then machine automatically selects 15% tip while paying. I’m all about tips but this trend of fast food restaurants (took them about 15 seconds to put my order together) not paying their employees and essentially forcing a tip by way of social pressure at checkout is insane. Won’t go back.
