Placed an online order at 8:15; when I pulled up to the drive-thru all lights were off and they would not answer through the speaker. Multiple cars in front experienced the same thing and I watched them drive off. I went ahead and drove to the window and noticed all staff were in the process of shutting down 35 mins early when the store closes at 9. Someone finally came to the window and I received my order. My quesadilla was burnt and not edible. While I love tropical smoothie the quality and service has really gone downhill at this location.

For a whopping $41, I was served two açai bowls generously topped with extra granola and a side of açaí. These bowls could easily be mistaken for granola bowls. To make matters worse, I had to pay for a half-empty side and waited an agonizing 30 minutes for my food. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. I’m giving you a heads up now.

I went to this location the morning of Sept 2, 2025. I ordered via the app so I could go inside and pick up my order from the shelf. My smoothie and wrap were tasty! However, when I walked into the establishment all of the employees just stared at me and not in a friendly way….no hello, no good morning…just cold stares. I may just use the drive thru like I typically do or not go to this location anymore although it is close to my home. My first (and hopefully only) disappointing experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe…

Initially when Tropical Cafe came to Grovetown GA off of Steiner Way, I was happy/excited. However, this particular Tropical Cafe is HORRIBLE. Over the last month, I have picked up my online order of 3 Açaí Bowls with 2 of the 3 to receive extra granola and extra honey. Each bowl received far less açaí in each bowl as compared to the others. When I complained, the employee told me it was the same amount of açaí in each bowl and the reason it looked different was bc of the way that each froze. Apparently she missed the class on freezing a liquid. Unbeknownst to her, I was previously told by an employee at this particular location that the açaí is frozen in each bowl ahead of time and the other ingredients added based upon the request of the order.
Yesterday I decided to try the Tropical Cafe in Grovetown GA again. I ordered an açaí bowl with extra granola and extra honey and I rcvd what appears to be an acai bowl minus the the AÇAÍ. See Photo #2. I am livid with this particular Tropical Cafe. I do not have these issues with any other Tropical Cafe in the CSRA! Why is it even necessary for me to drive to another location to receive what I ordered and paid for because the employees at the Tropical Cafe in Grovetown not competent, don’t care or whatever the case may be?! The Tropical Cafe needs an overhaul of management and staff. It is absolutely ridiculous! Drastic changes need to be made to this particular location bc currently, it is a big disappointment to this constantly thriving community…….

I placed a DoorDash pick up & on my order i said no coconut chips because I’m HIGHLY ALLERGIC….well they didn’t read my order correctly and put coconut chips on them…so i had to go back in the store to get it remade… please make sure you’re reading order correctly because if something would’ve happened to me…your company would be getting SUED due to lack of reading.

I tried to place an online order via the app. I chose what I wanted to have delivered. I put my card info in. The screen told me my order was canceled and my card would be refunded because the time I chose was no longer available. I didn’t choose a time. I chose “ASAP”. I received no refund. You can’t call and talk to anyone. When you call, the system states you’ll receive a text message with contact info. I did not receive a text message. Now, I’ll just have to dispute with my bank. Ridiculous

I ordered from the app at 11:30. My friends arrived and walked up, ordered, and got their orders before me. I asked about my online order. He said he was making it. He brought out an order for someone else. I told him I had a Thai salad. He disappeared and I didn’t see him so I pulled up my order to confirm I had ordered from the correct store, which I had. I asked someone else, and then the first guy came out and says he didn’t see an order. (But never came to tell me while I was waiting). Manager checked my app and apologized and made the salad. (25 minutes from when I ordered)
It was inedible because the salad was full of “sand”, probably from unwashed cilantro. At this point, my friend had to get back to work so I just threw it away. I paid $9+ for a bag of chips. I’ll stick to the Evans location!! I won’t be back to the Grovetown location.

I ordered 3 drinks and asked for a cup holder and the young lady responded with “We don’t have any” but they were literally sitting right in front of her. and I literally pointed to them, and she still proceeded to say they didn’t have any. Make it make sense!
