Excellent customer service here. I had an issue with Uber and my smoothie had been sitting out. I spoke with the manager Veronica (I believe) and she either remade it or kept it cold before it got to me. I’m not exactly sure, but it was perfect and delicious when it was delivered.

So to start with I eat a tropical Smoothie cafés all across Virginia at least three times a month. I’ve never had a problem like this in any of them but The gentleman that served me was extremely nice but the lady that made my salad was very argumentative. I ordered an $11 Thai chicken salad same thing I get every time I come here there was literally like five little tiny pieces of chicken on it and take it back inside and say something she says that’s what comes on. It does not want to give me more so I say that’s fine. Let me just buy a serving so she rings me up for a serving brings it to me and it is More than twice the size of what she put in my food I dug out every piece and put it on the side so that we could compare and then she wants to argue with me and tell me it’s the same, even though you can clearly tell one is more than twice the size of the other Then because she wants to fill my sauces a quarter of the way up, I have to buy two extras for my salad and another one For my wife’s quesadilla Helloso now altogether I have a $19 salad that should’ve cost me $11 And a quesadilla that cost me an $1 all because the people here are trying to pinch food to the point where you’re not even giving what you’re supposed to be giving. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off after eating at this location. and out of all the times, I’ve eaten at your restaurants I have never ever felt like this leaving one. I’ve never had a problem with the quantity of food on an item and I’ve definitely never had somebody blatantly lie about something to my face rather than just saying you’re right and getting me a little more chicken and I do work in the food industry, so I know how people are sometimes and trust me. I am not being like that.

Walked in before 9am today. Nobody came to the counter. I yelled “hello” numerous times. Eventually walked out. Before I left the parking lot I saw someone else go in & get food, so I went back in. I got a visible eye roll from the staff as if I was a bother. I left without ordering & will never be back to this location. There was also fruit all over the floor that could be seen from the counter, with no customers & before 9am. Yuck!

I ordered a Turkey apple dijon sandwich and only received half of the sandwich but was charged for a full one. It’s the second time this has happened no big deal I’m sure its things that can be fixed. Other than that the food is good!

Stopped in to get a detox green smoothie this morning only to be served by a lady that moved as of she didn’t care to be there today. When I walked in she was finishing up a customers order that I met there. She didn’t acknowledge me, turned to prep the plastic food bag with a chip and napkin, all in slowwwww motion. Finally she decided to return to the register to take my order. I ordered the smoothie, and instead of the same slow prep of my order, she then took the order of the customer behind me. While standing there waiting for that new customer to find her correct coupon to pay her bill, I asked the server if she could prep my smoothie as I was in a cab that was waiting for me outside. She gave me a stare and did not move. 60 seconds later I asked for my receipt that I declined initially, and left without the smoothie. Very, very disappointing today. Poor attitude and seemed uninterested in serving customers today.

I visited this Tropical Smoothie Cafe and was immediately struck by how stressed out the entire staff seemed. The energy in the store felt chaotic, and it definitely affected the service.
I specifically told the man coming from the back that I didn’t want ginger in my drink—he said he understood, but then proceeded to send the order through with ginger anyway. I had to check with another employee to confirm, and sure enough, it was made incorrectly.
That said, one staff member really stood out. The woman who actually made my smoothie not only remade it without any complaint but also personally brought it out to me. She was kind, respectful, and clearly trying her best in a hectic environment.
Unfortunately, the guy who took my order looked completely out of it—like, stoned out of his mind. It didn’t inspire confidence and probably explains the mix-up in the first place.
All in all, the experience was a mixed bag. Shoutout to the woman who remade my drink—you saved the visit from being a total bust.
