I ordered curbside. I felt like the serving was extremely tiny. I asked if they could bring out another serving, because it wasn’t the proper serving. When she came to the car (the black girl with the braces), she didn’t even acknowledge me. She had an attitude. She brushed me off when I tried to show her what I meant. This was very rude. Seems like people don’t have any manners these days!

I’m including the date and time so the owners can identify who was working the cash register. I presume the lady who assisted me was the manager, as the younger employee was on lunch break.

I’ve been to this location many times, but today stood out. The woman at the register greeted us with a warm smile and carried herself with exceptional professionalism. I ordered food for my son, and she even laughed at a few of my jokes—something I always appreciate. During my military service, I learned the importance of connecting with the people who prepare your food. When they are kind and respectful, you know your meal is being made with care.

I was truly impressed by her demeanor. She quickly applied my military discount when I asked and mentioned that the owner is also a veteran, which now makes complete sense. This young lady represents the owners’ values perfectly.
Because of the service I received today, I will be coming back more often to support this veteran-owned business. A simple smile and positive attitude made a big difference. Honestly, this employee deserves a promotion—she has a bright future ahead of her.

Delivery was incorrect (nothing I ordered arrived). Management refused to address it as it was ordered through the app and got the run around. Wouldnt recommend ordering here. Simply asked for a refund and became a massive negative experience.

This happened 5-20-25. I had went for a remake on a smoothie bc they were out of the blue dye for the Obama breeze. The lady agreed to remake the smoothie that was from another store bc they were out of the product needed. She had another girl make the smoothie while a guy handed it to me with a smirk on his face slightly laughing (I didn’t think anything of it, smoothie was for my daughter bc she was the one disappointed about the smoothie not being blue as advertised. The smoothie still was not blue more like and deep sea green. I took it home to surprise her that they remade the smoothie so she would like it …. They had purposefully added a bunch of protein powder or something to make it taste like spinach throw up. She hated it, had me try it and even let her brother try it (who likes everything usually) it was horrible. I was happy leaving thinking they made everything better but in all reality finding out what truly happened and my daughter again disappointed that her drink wasn’t made right and tasted awful. Do not buy from this store. It was intentional and not professional at all.

I’m honestly really disappointed with the consistent lack of quality at this location. My wraps are always soggy, sloppily put together, and falling apart before I even take a bite. On top of that, my smoothies taste like nothing but ice… completely lacking in flavor and far from the standard I’ve come to expect from Tropical Smoothie.

This location is less than five minutes from my house, yet I’m seriously considering driving all the way to the Central Park location just to get food that’s properly prepared. That says a lot.

To the manager: Are you aware of these issues? And if so, do you just not care? It feels like either the staff is not being trained properly or quality control is being completely ignored. At this point, I have to wonder if you’re still making a profit and have just chosen not to fix anything. I need answers, because it’s unacceptable for a national chain to deliver this level of inconsistency …

Please do better.

Wow, what an incredible experience I had at Tropical Smoothie today! I mean, who doesn’t love being told they can’t enter a store with an open sign on? It’s not like I have better things to do than stand around and watch the employee lock the door after I’ve already walked in.

So, here’s how it went: I arrived at 7:45 AM, saw the worker get dropped off, and watched as she opened the store at 7:50 AM. I strolled in at 7:57 AM, only to be told they weren’t open. I politely replied, “Okay,” because who argues with someone who clearly knows what they’re doing?

Then, I took a front-row seat in the parking lot to watch the magic happen. She turned off the open sign and locked the door. I just had to call the store to confirm that they weren’t open because, apparently, having one staff member isn’t enough to run a business.

As a regular customer, I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. It’s not like I’ve ever had a bad experience anywhere else, but this one takes the cake. Or should I say, it takes the smoothie?

To Tropical Smoothie, I say: Please, for the love of all things customer service, do better. Train your staff, manage your schedules, and maybe, just maybe, keep your open sign consistent with your actual operating hours. Until then, I’ll be taking my business (and my smoothie cravings) elsewhere.

Typically, I don’t write reviews, but I have to. I ordered tropical smoothie from this location on 03/03/25. I always get the same thing chicken pesto and no tomatoes with sunrise sunset. There was literally no chicken on my food. Maybe 3-4 little pieces of chicken max and the smoothie was watered down. I decided to give them another shot tonight. I got tomatoes on my chicken pesto when said no tomatoes and I got literally NO chicken again! Again with the 3-4 little pieces of chicken. The sunrise smooth was pretty good this time unlike the last one I ordered. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this location anymore.

Just ordered from this location and got chunks of ice in my smoothie. This location has consistently made subpar food and smoothies and this was my last visit.

UPDATE: The owner of this location got caught by the health department putting in his own supplements and not those approved by tropical smoothie. Just do a search online for fredericksburg va health code violations and this location is listed there with this violation.

Go in to order. Twice now ive had problems. My order originally wouldnt go through and now i placed an order at Carter West and SOMEHOW when i checked out, the order was sent to Southpoint Parkway. A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION, when i was finalizing the checkout it said Carter West and only after i paid did it change to Southpoint Parkway. Ridiculous, fix your system, train your employees to read (they “accidentally” forget my extra chicken on every order) and stop watering down my smoothies. Do better.

Edit: I gave them another chance and went in today, same exact thing happened that happened last time. No extra chicken but they charged me for it, had them remake my acai berry boost because I had too much turbinado, the remake they made had too much turbinado again. Honestly this place should just be closed down.
