The Kiwi Quencher smoothie? Total win. It’s super refreshing, just the right amount of sweet, and actually tastes like real fruit—none of that artificial weirdness you sometimes get with chain smoothies. It’s definitely one of those drinks you could crave on a hot day or after a workout. Highly recommend.
Now… the açaí bowl. Honestly, I wanted to like it. It looked beautiful but the taste didn’t match the hype. The base was watery and bland, like someone melted a smoothie and forgot to add any real flavor. The toppings were okay, but they couldn’t save it. For something that’s supposed to be thick, creamy, and packed with flavor, it was kind of a letdown.
Final verdict: go for the smoothies, especially the Kiwi Quencher. Skip the açaí bowls unless you just need something pretty for a picture.

I am writing to report a concerning customer service interaction that occurred this morning, November 13, 2025, at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe located at 2014 Merrick Road.
I have been a consistent customer at this location for several years, always having excellent experiences until this morning. At approximately 8:03 A.M., I called the store to place an order. A gentleman who identified himself as Elliott took my call.
The interaction proceeded as follows: I inquired if the morning Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) free incentive was still active. Elliott responded, “no we dont have a bogo free, but they are 5$.” I sought clarification, asking, “Okay, if I recall, it was a BOGO deal, but can I just buy one for $5?” Reassuring what I heard from Elliot was correct.
Instead of answering my clarifying question, Elliott replied with a distinct lack of patience and a dismissive tone: “So are you going to order…orrrrr…”
Feeling that I did not deserve this level of service, I requested his name and informed him that I would complete my order in person. I arrived at the cafe at approximately 8:10 A.M. When I asked for Elliott, another associate, Amanda, stated that he had “just left.” I had intended to address the interaction directly with him.
I believe that employees who represent the company should maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. This experience made me feel that my business was undervalued and signals a significant lapse in your commitment to protecting the positive customer relationship I had previously enjoyed with Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
I request that this matter be reviewed to ensure proper customer service standards are maintained by all staff.

2 days ago I went with my daughter to buy a smoothie and the place was very dirty. I don’t know why the manager doesn’t keep that place clean. It only took 5 minutes. I have to say that the juices and smoothies are very good.

Had the pleasure of stopping by this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The staff behind the counter were patient, happily shared their favorites and got us our order in minutes. The Hurricane Smoothie with passion fruit and dark cherries was a blast, and the Bahama Mama was as tropical as it can get in a cup. Lovely staff, great selection, and a location above the rest.

The smoothie was great, the store was really busy with tons of people and online orders. It was my first time ordering from this place and it was horrible. I walked up to the cashier ordered a smoothie, she then fumbled with the receipt printer and didn’t give me a receipt. I told her it was fine and she said ok just wait over where everyone else was getting their drinks. I waited for over 25 min in the store as it cleared out. U then asked then what happened to my order as I am seeing everyone else just coming in and out. Turns it the girl didn’t even put the order in. Then they were apologizing and didn’t offer me anything for all my time wasted in there. The service was trash, but the drunk was great. I may try here again but will order a different way.

I love me some tropical smoothie, but I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews, the children that are working there, seemingly unsupervised, are just plain rude and for no reason! They don’t greet customers or even respond to a thank you?! What kind of customer service is that? Not to mention, as some of the other reviews stated, I too stood there for a good 5 minutes in an empty store while online orders took priority and the employees chatted with each other. Oh well, at least it’s not like this everywhere, I just won’t go to this one anymore.

The one time i go to a different location,something just had to happen. I ordered on the app at 9:20am got there at 9:30am. Only thing that was ready was my food, which is fine because it was about 6 people waiting. Then they left….so i go ask about my order TWICE and they just looked at me then walk away. So i waited again, people ordering and leaving with their orders. 9:55am i asked for a refund, because WHY IS THERE 6 PEOPLE BEHIND THE COUNTER AND NOBODY IS DOING NOTHING? Their all young little girls and one of them was flirting soo hard with what looks to be manager. The gossiping and standing doing absolutely nothing is terrible. Everyone looking at me and not even asking if i need help. I go to drive out the parking lot. 4 of them was outside in the back of the store just standing there talking.
