Really good small town, greesy spoon, bar food. Was just off hwy 52 on our way to the cities. Plenty of food, had a couple drinks with breakfast and then on the road again. Will be stopping here again.

Food was amazing and the service was exceptional! Soup and salad with meal. Soup was homemade and salad was fresh and cold. Had the special of swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes. Excellent! The town is off the beaten path but well worth the drive.

This was a pleasant small town establishment. The staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered the bbq rib dinner. It started with a fabulous cup of beef and barley soup- was amazing! Next came a nice dinner salad. The meal came with choice of potato- we both chose augratins- these were ok- had a vinegar taste. The ribs were cooked where the meat was falling off the bone and was great, now the sauce was quite heavily applied, and I know opinions on sauce vary from person to person but our opinion was that the sauce tasted too heavily of vinegar, it was OK just not my favorite, it just overpowered the phenomenal meat. I would definitely come back to this restaurant, but I would probably try a different dish next time. The meal was also served with fresh garlic bread, that was a nice compliment to the meal. I ordered a cherry coke with perfect ratio of soda to syrup.

Headed out to the one – horse town of New Trier to check out the Trophy House. My parents went out there for a nice Sunday dinner and that is exactly what we got.
This is an American food restaurant with burgers, wraps, appetizers such as chicken fingers, and good old homestyle cooking. On the weekends they have lunch and dinner specials.
We got there about 12:15 and breakfast was finishing up so had to wait about 10 mins to order lunch. It was well worth the wait.
My mom and I had roast beef and my dad had the ham steak meal.
There is a soup course which was homemade beef barley, next came salad and bread and finally our meals which were monstrous and oh so good.
The price for a three course meal was only about $13, the drive out there is beautiful, and if you leave hungry it’s your own fault.
I would definitely recommend a good Sunday meal out at the Trophy House. To find it you just look right across from the New Trier Fire Hall.

Great food and service, there is no reason to deal with the circus at the other bar in town when you can come here. Try it, you’ll like it!

We’ve stopped here a couple of times every Lent for their Friday Nite Fish Fry for decades — literally! It’s always busy, so make reservations and plan for a beverage at the bar before you’re seated. Once seated, the servers are very friendly and attentive. The food is amazing! You won’t go away hungry. The all-you-can-eat fish, with salad, potato, and garlic toast is most satisfying. It’s no wonder that it was tasted the Best Friday Fish Fry in the Twin Cities. (Well, extended Twin Cities.) Enjoy!

The place isn’t fancy by any means, but the food and the service are top notch. Small town down home food at its finest. The fried fish with sweet tartar sauce meal is one of my all-time favorites.
Love love love Trophy House!
