I heard of this place due to restaurant week. They let me do the lunch special togo which was nice. The two gentleman that helped with my order were extremely nice and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed. I had the side salad, 72 hour rib roast with mash, green beans, and the vanilla cheesecake with mix berries. They have pretty good ranch, for those that care, like myself. The roast had great flavor, it could have fallen apart a little more but wasn’t tough at all. Sides were delicious and well seasoned. Cheesecake was delicious and light. I’m glad I checked it out and will be back to try some of their other dishes.

I happened to be in town last week and went in to enjoy a meal while I was staying at the hotel. I had dinner there and breakfast. All was delicious. Now, lemme say now. Phil was the night time bartender on Saturday night. He did an outstanding job with hand crafting a cocktail for me and great service. He really made the evening that much better! That said, all of the meals were great from the French onion soup, to the filet, to the club sandwich. I had a Denver omelette and fresh cinnamon roll for breakfast. Also delicious. (Drink made spicy margarita and it was glorious)

Great service. We had two waiters, and they were both very nice and attentive. We didn’t realize this was a hotel restaurant until we got there, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. Left with full bellies and complementary cookies.

Overall experience, I would rate at a 2.5 – 3. Service was mediocre and food was not something I’d rave about. I had the short rib. Only finished half of it, due to running out of the gravy that masked the overcooked texture. Side salad was room temperature to be nice. I prefer a cool crisp salad. Why continue on ? I’m a foodie and always try a second time to make sure that it wasn’t an off night or different chef. But I don’t think I want to revisit this experience. Maybe yours will be better.

From the friendly greeting to the final good-bye, the staff of Trofi Restaurant in the Double Tree focus on service. Being the second year that we stayed here for a convention, the staff remembered the faces and spoke about how nice it was to see us again. The atmosphere is upscale, but the prices are normal for a hotel restaurant. I ate the breakfast buffet which had everything you could want for including a special orders service station. Fresh fruit abounded and all the food was hot and fresh. I ate a couple of dinners there. The baby back ribs were fantastic

After a last-day-of-KC-Restaurant-Week-let-down (The Bristol didn’t serve a lunch on Sunday), we looked on the Participating Restaurant Page and selected the Trofi Restaurant in the Double Tree Hotel. We had not yet heard of this delightful restaurant.!Amazing! The staff was friendly and kind. The food was delicious. I had the BEST French Onion Soup ever! My daughter and I had a relaxing, quiet lunch to end the 2020 KC Restaurant Week.

Food is ok and service is good. Their deserts though are divine. Cheesecake is advertised as freshly made on site and it is totally worth every calorie. We had the restaurant week menu which makes it very reasonable in price so no complaints. It’s a bit out of the way for deserts so I would only indulge if visiting the location.

Very glad we tried this during resteraunt week. Best deal for lunch.Had the short rib, onion soup and carrot cake. Recomend. Our waitress was very good too. 4 stars only because I saw normal notices and they would have been too high for me for a normal lunch.

It was ok. Food was decent. Felt like our waiter completely forgot about us though. And when we were ready to go, the bag they gave us for the food was a cheap white bag with the red thank you’s on it. Expected much more overall
