Trofi has a separate entrance at the DoubleTree hotel. There is an inviting patio and the restaurant itself is large with a long bar and many tables that are nicely spaced apart.. There is a separate glassed in room with a large table. We went for lunch during Restaurant week. The clam chowder and pear salad were flavorful. The chicken sandwich was nice and crispy and the shrimp taco was delicious. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right with soft centers. The Baileys torte and chocolate dessert were tasty and filling. The service was very good. We’re looking forward to returning as the regular menu looks very enticing.

Came here for KC Restaurant Week. Clam Chowder was excellent, Pear Salad was basic, well done. Shrimp tacos had good flavor, probably overcooked. Tortellini was overcooked, fair sauce. German chocolate cake wax the highlight, great flavor and presentation
Bailey’s torte was good, macerated berries, whipped topping. Excellent service, nice large facility.

Good friendly service. Restaurant week menu. Go with the German chocolate cake. S’mores too sweet.

The cuisine in this area is a very delicate balance of tasty sandwiches and comfort food that is easy to take and go or just sit and quench your hunger while dining in. The Smoked In House Baby Back Ribs and the Eclectic Burger that had a thick slice of Angus Beef on a brioche bun was beyond succulent, juicy and moist. The portion size balanced the plate with fresh, firm and tasty French Fries. The house salad had all the makings of spring lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bites and shredded carrots topped with a delicious ranch dressing. The Omaha original Reuben (Corn Beef or Turkey) is more than a sandwich full of well seasoned meat good the next day if you “ cannot finish it in one setting.” The servers Walter, Stefania and Phil were all customer focused making sure your meal was pleasant and satisfying. Excellent place for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner to relax and wind down in comfy surroundings.

I want there for dinner during restaurant week and was blown away by the food. I had a pear salad, grilled mahi and some type of Bailey’s cheesecake type dessert. Every course was very flavorful and i couldn’t help telling my husband throughout our meal how delicious it was. I also had a pomegranate martini, which was also incredible. It went beyond my expectations!!

I had the Omaha Reuben with French Fries. Your choice of Corned Beef or Turkey, I got the CB. Very generous portions. The Thousand Island dressing complimented the tangy sauerkraut. The cheese was warm and nicely melted over the tender Corned Beef. The bread held up well and did not get too soggy. The fries had a nice homestyle flavor and just crispy enough.
Overall, a great Reuben and a great value at $17. Very filling so no room for dessert. Friendly service and one of my best hotel meals. None better anywhere if you love Reubens.

When they say Crispy Waffle, they mean it. Crispiest waffle I have ever had. Bacon was cooked perfectly.

Everything was amazing from the service to each course. It just kept getting better and better it was so good we decided to go back the next day for lunch.
The restaurant was clean and beautiful as well as every member of their staff. The food was out of this world! I can wait to come back.

Decided to stop in on a whim. Made an open table reservation because we were looking for something to eat last minute for NYE. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. The food was great. I used to eat here before COVID and it was sad to see it was not as busy as it used to be.

I have traveled to Overland Park for work from time to time, and the Doubletree hotel is by far the best hotel in the area and that is because of the Trofi restaurant onsite. The aesthetic is classy, clean, and visually appealing, and the food is great. However, it’s truly the staff that makes Trofi an establishment that keeps customers coming back. Phil is absolutely FANTASTIC! He engages with customers in a way that makes his customer service exceptional – he remembers little details about us months later which creates true connections. Not to mention, he has a great personality. By the same token, Walter is awesome! His humor and personality brings such a fun vibe to the restaurant. The two of them together, talk about a dream team! I will never stay elsewhere in the area because of this place feeling like home away from home and making work travel such a pleasant experience.
