Oysters, grills, coal-fired seafood & cocktails served amid an old-world, dark-wood interior.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish! Service was impeccable. Drinks were unique. Menu has so many options for all types of cuisine. Happy hour menu was great for such a busy restaurant! We had the fried chicken, the chicken pot pie and the burger. I can say it was honestly hard to choose a favorite! We opted to enjoy dessert to go. The key lime pie and the toffee cake were out of this world delicious. The brown butter ice cream alone would send me back in for another meal. This place might be a new favorite in the city. Make a reservation in advance as it’s pretty difficult to get last minute unless you’re into an early or late time slot. We opted for early and we weren’t disappointed.

10/10 experience! Every dish we ordered was delicious and will definitely return when back in Chicago!! We got the chicken pot pie, vodka rigatoni, fried chicken, crab Rangoon, and Caesar salad and absolutely loved each! Was heartwarming and enjoyed the ambiance and feel of the whole restaurant. The star of the show was the sticky date cake for dessert! A must try

An absolutely stunning restaurant. One of the best ambiance’s in the whole city. The food never disappoints. Highly recommend the spicy vodka pasta and the sticky date cake – both are classics. I’ve been here several times, and I’m excited to return!

Atmosphere and Ambience on a Sunday night were delightful, first time visiting here and I can see why it is a staple in the Chicago dining scene. Service was great and timely. I don’t have any complaints about the food, (Vodka pasta, Prime rib sandwich, Caesar salad, Mushroom casserole) but nothing really had a “Wow” factor like I kind of expected- just based on the literal thousands of good reviews across all platforms. Again, no complaints- just making an observation that everything I had ordered was “good enough” and not much more. This place is worth a visit at least once, to say you were lucky enough to land a reservation.

An absolute must if you live in Chicago. You’ve probably seen Trivoli Tavern on Instagram, but it’s even better in person.
We grabbed an early Saturday reservation and it was perfect—great energy without feeling rushed or overcrowded. Started with rye Old Fashioneds and martinis; the dirty martini was especially good, perfectly balanced and not overly salty.
Food-wise, don’t skip the bread rolls. The orecchiette was fantastic—spicy, comforting, and seriously satisfying. The shrimp pasta was also very good, with a richer, more tomato-forward sauce.
Dessert sealed the deal: the ice cream and cake were outstanding.
A classic Chicago spot that truly lives up to the hype. Perfect for a fun night with friends or an excellent date night.

My third time here – always amazing! Wonderful food and great service. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We did have a light flickering above us during our dinner, but that was the only thing that wasn’t perfect. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was romantic, and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. Yesterday was my birthday, and the staff surprised me with a complimentary ice cream and birthday wishes. That small but thoughtful gesture truly made my day and made me feel very special. I was so happy and really appreciated their kindness. I will definitely come back again.

We had an incredible experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was spot on—perfect for a great night out. What really stood out, though, was the staff. The customer service was amazing from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find a place that hits the mark on food, vibes, and service all at once. Highly recommend!

We had an good dinner at Trivoli Tavern! The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and perfect for a night out in the West Loop. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We ordered the Lobster Maki Roll, Baked Crab Cake, Slow Roasted Meatballs, and Spicy Shrimp Pasta — every dish was outstanding. The Lobster Maki was fresh and flavorful, the Crab Cake was rich and perfectly baked, and the Meatballs were tender with a delicious, savory sauce. The Spicy Shrimp Pasta was the highlight — just the right amount of heat and packed with flavor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, cocktails, and a lively Chicago dining experience!
