Outstanding food served with the Love and Pride that is typically only felt from your favorite family member, Trillium Table is one of the most cherished and bespoke experiences of my decades spent wandering through Appalachia. The service is 2nd to none, and the food is World Class.
The atmosphere is warm in inviting, with the comfort of multiple fireplaces and soothing piano music. Fine China and crystal clear glasses, clean table cloths, and fresh flowers create your own exclusive experience that can’t be rivaled by any other dining venue in the area.
The food and drinks are presented in a way that ensures a memory made from every visit. Simple yet generous, the dishes speak to your body like conviction speaks to your heart, and the drinks are the perfect pairing of art and science.
The Staff are sweet and attentive. The Chef is a culinary master of talent, using flavor as trade & craft. I was blown away by the entire visit from beginning to end. Dining here is a privilege, and I can’t wait to return.

If you’re looking for one of a kind, true culinary experience, look no further than Trillium Table in Black Mountain. We went last night for the first time and it definitely won’t be our last. They have only been open 6 weeks, but you would never know that; it seems like they’ve been open for years. The owner is super personable, talented and only in his 20’s, but don’t let his age fool you; this guy is going places. You’d think he’s been a chef for 40+ years with what he’s cranking out of the kitchen, he even has his family to helping him in his restaurant; his mom is the pastry chef and his dad is the bartender. All of the food was the freshest we’ve ever had at a restaurant because they do farm to table and the flavor of everything was insanely delicious. The bread is an old family recipe, it’s like what your grandmother would make. The salad is refreshing with a vinaigrette that’s light, citrusy and sweet. The beef brisket was the most flavorful I’ve ever had and it melted in my mouth. The chicken is fall off the bone and the perfect combo of herbs. The potatoes are rich, creamy and smooth. The star of the dinner though is the Brussel sprouts; they are worth the drive alone. The chocolate mousse was light, airy and zesty. The cocktails are super delicious, there’s no way to describe it other than that; it was a perfect pour and mix. Mark my words, this place will be around for a long time to come because the food is just that incredible and the price point is ridiculously good for the level of food they are serving. You can go support a local up and coming restaurant, with delicious food for a steal or you can go to some chain restaurant, spend triple what we paid for our dinner and not even come close to the level food we had.

This is absolutely one of the best dining experiences I have had in recent times. Everything was cozy, charming and perfect. It was the last night in Black Mountain and my mom wanted to do something special so on a whim we booked a reservation. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed with the warmth of the interior. Service was sincere and welcoming and the food was exceptional. My mom and I both got the trout. Wow. Cooked perfectly, amazing cream sauce and the side of fire roasted broccolini was perfect and large enough to share with 3 people. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We shared tiramisu for dessert. I am not a tiramisu person and I loved it.
They are just getting started and I wish them every success. Next year when I return I’m sure it will be challenging to get a reservation. One of my favorite dining experiences in a long time.

Once again Trillium Table has knocked it out of the park for all the things you’re looking for in a restaurant. The ambiance is like walking into to your grandmothers dining room, filled with color and cozy atmosphere. The service is astounding and they make you feel like family. They offer a rotating menu based on what is growing at the time you’re there. Which means that you probably aren’t going to get the same thing twice and is so refreshing, you get to explore and experience different combos and flavors. Life is too short to not venture out on the different kind of foods there are. The cocktails are one of a kind and if you’re a wine drinker, they’ve got you covers too. The appetizers are the perfect portion to share between two people. The salads are delicious, with a house made vinaigrette that is light and refreshing and don’t even get me started on the rolls; those are their family’s recipe and it shows. The star of dinner though, the filet mignon. This was hands down the best steak we’ve ever had and when you can cut it with a fork, you know it’s going to be incredible. It was seasoned perfectly, lightly and paired with the black garlic butter made it mind blowing; add in the pomme purée and it was perfect. We honestly could eat that steak everyday for the rest of our lives and never get tired of it, it’s that amazing. We finished off with both dessert choices. The coconut parfit, which is vegan and gluten free, is the perfect light and creamy dessert, and with the toasted pistachios in homemade syrup, adds a whole new flavor. The chocolate cake was hands down the best we’ve ever had; the bourbon glaze mixed with the chili adds a whole new flavor profile, but the most unexpected surprise was just how incredibly well the candied lime pairs with chocolate cake; the flavor is out of this world. This was not our first time eating here and there’s a reason, it’s that good. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out on one of the best culinary experiences you will ever have.

This restaurant experience was like being treated like the guest of honor at someone’s fancy home! The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious and masterfully made. The homemade bread rolls with herbed butter were fresh and uniquely delicious, the flat iron steak and NY Strip steak were so full of flavor and cooked to perfection, and the tiramisu was tasty and had unique flavors as well. The staff was super friendly and eager to accommodate our large party. The children’s menu had perfectly simple choices for picky palettes. I would highly recommend this restaurant! And the outside has some gorgeous and adorable photo spots too!

I cannot speak highly enough about Trillium. I took my daughter for a special occasion dinner and we were treated like royalty. Our table was beautifully set with seasonal touches like the napkins being folded as Christmas trees! The food was out of this world. We got the bread service, gnocchi, steak, and 2 desserts. Everything was just incredible and we can’t wait to go back.

A MUST VISIT IF YOU’RE IN ASHEVILLE! I’ve eaten at Michelin starred restaurants, and this one deserves a place among them. The fettuccine was better than what I ate in Rome. Every single item on their menu is DELICIOUS, and they all fit together very harmoniously no matter what you order. And don’t skip out on their mocktails!!! I had the “Mrs. Bennett” and loved it!
Also, the atmosphere is sophisticated yet cozy. You’ll especially like it if you’re a bookworm. Staff are super warm and inviting.

Steak was excellent, staff was very kind.
Only complaint is the corn bread was lacking flavor and rather dry but the steak made up for it. Charming place.
Prices were reasonable.

Loved the relaxed atmosphere…. Restaurant was busy but not loud, which we really appreciated! Hannah, our server, was so attentive and engaging. The food was creative and tasty! We had the halibut, pasta and the fried chicken skins….which don’t sound great but were really tasty! Highly recommend Trillium!

Wonderful dining experience in Black Mountain. Everything was excellent – the food, the service, the atmosphere. We had the braised beef and the steak and both were superb. Also the potatoes and the gnocchi (which was especially nice). Very welcoming – they kindly presented us with an unexpected complimentary dish! Will definitely make this a regular visit.

2nd visit. Everything was at least as good as the first time. We had the New York strip special and the trout. Excellent. We also had the mixed greens salad, bread service, and the special chocolate cake for dessert. Really good food! And the service and atmosphere were welcoming and cozy. A Black Mountain favority.
